Confidence, as every golfer knows, is the key to peak performance on the greens. Zen Putting: Mastering the Mental Game builds your confidence through a thinking-outside-the-box approach that helps golfers of all levels get out of their own way and roll the ball better than ever.

In chapters such as "Already in the Hole", "Stop the Bleeding", and "Turn Knee-knockers into Tap-ins", you'll find the insights and methods that will help you take your putting to the next level, with more consistency, less frustration, and lower scores. Using his distinctive blend of sports psychology, Zen wisdom, and practical golf instruction, Dr. Joe Parent shares the lessons and practice exercises that have dramatically improved the putting of PGA professionals and amateurs alike.

In clear, concise chapters, Zen Putting covers everything from warm-up and practice programs to the ideal routine for setting up to and executing a putt. You'll discover how to synchronize body and mind to make your smoothest stroke time after time and build your confidence round after round.

Zen Lessons

Great tips not just for putting or golf, but how to treat yourself with love and respect. Great resource especially if you’re open to the benefits of meditation.

Mindful

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this to a fellow golfer. This book I think helps put the mental side of the game into play, something that needs to be addressed if you want to get better.

If you’ve listened to books by Dr. Joseph Parent before, how does this one compare?

I have listened to another Zen book as well, I would grade them the same.

Which character – as performed by Dr. Joseph Parent – was your favorite?

No one stood out.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I could have if given the time, I do most of my listening in the car.

In One Ear and Out Your Putter

For the most part I'm glad I absorbed this book as an Audible experience given that many of the challenges we golfers deal with are the voices in our head which are often unwelcomed as we stand over our ball uttering color commentaries. With Dr. Parent's knack of gentle persuasion to trust in the principles of mindful presence, awareness of the breath and compassionate support, one can apply focus and relaxed competence. The visualization techniques lend themselves to the spoken word, though some of the drills could be better conveyed with diagrams or photos. Nonetheless, my enjoyment and performance have markedly improved from the insights gained.

Confirmation! Thank You for Zen

Would you consider the audio edition of Zen Putting to be better than the print version?

I own and have read both versions and since the visual aspects of Zen concept I much prefer the audio where I can focus in. That's just me though I am more visual.

Everyone who is scratch can get to tee to green... but putting that can be a game changer if you are to go deep.

I can say without doubt I practice and perform better under pressure after taking in the Zen!

loved both Zen Books... must read for the hardcore golfer soaking up pearls

What did you like best about this story?

Confirmation on visual aspect of putting... also the story of his buddy putting with his driver on the back nine

What about Dr. Joseph Parent’s performance did you like?

good voice and flow

What insight do you think you’ll apply from Zen Putting?

Fearless of results... putt it like Jordan.. shooting focus on target and keep an eye on the prize and trust my routine

Master the Mental Game of Putting

Joseph parent continues to deliver on the subject of Zen golf. If you have any issues on the golf green, and who doesn't, this book is a great aid to you. Don't look for technique help but rather look for help on how to think your way a round a green and putting the ball in the hole.
