Story
From the beginning, Geneen Roth was told she was too sensitive, too emotional, too curious, too demanding, too intense, and too big. Yet gaining and losing weight for decades did not improve her self-worth or reduce other people's criticisms. Like most women who struggle with their weight, she believed that if she could resolve what seemed to be the source of her self-hatred - how and what she ate - she would be thin, happy, and free. That belief, she discovered, was false.

Hello, Body... Nice to Meet You
Would you listen to Your Relationship with Food Vol. II again? Why?
Again and again. This is a great meditation that I have used for the last three days in a row and will for some time until tuning in to my body is second nature.
Which character – as performed by Geneen Roth – was your favorite?
Geneen walks us through an opportunity to be inside the cells and various parts of our bodies. She invites us to get to know our body and tune into its wisdom. Quietly tuning to the location of sensations. We can then interpret whether what we feel is actually a physical sensation or if our mind is having a reaction to external cues.
Any additional comments?
I use this as a complement and practical application of a portion of the mindful inquiry techniques she mentioned in her book, "Women, Food and God."
