it gets to the point quickly in an encouraging way.
His attitude was my favorite character. He was very enthusiastic no made up stuff
He is the same in this one.
I have read that someone was disappointed that he talks about God a lot. The thing is that Mr Peale is a minister. And it is not in the way of learning about what his message is.
Norman Vincent Peale has a timeless message of determined persistent abandonment toward your goal Faith that things will work out if you give every bit of yourself to accomplishing your goal
I have listened to several of Norman Vincent peaked books and this one does not disappoint. He keeps the reader engaged and learning every step of the way.
Didn't make much headway on the paperback so switched to the audio version and that was far more enjoyable and a short listen!
Lots of recurring themes in this book that I've read / learnt from others and this repetition only helps to strengthen your beliefs.
What was enjoyable was that its by Dr Peale himself and I always like listening to the actual author as somehow and in this case it energises the book. Listening to that drawl and the cadence of his voice transports you into the past, its like some old grandfather or learned gentleman speaking to you
Although the messages are quite familiar I still found the book to be most uplifting and a great tonic whilst running to boost your confidence and strengthen your fortitude and remind you that you can if you think you can, such true words!
I realise now that positive things happen to positive people and the thought of failure itself is destructive. Miracles happen to people who have faith and when you have faith in God, you are also able to have faith in yourself.
Thank you Norman and I hope you keep writing books
I use to think why me, it's because I am a bad person but now realise life is a struggle and it will only be mastered if you overcome your obstacles and think of solutions for your problems without your emotions getting in the way.
"Great every time I listen and read his books"
I really enjoyed it especially when I am out on a run. it never gets old
