I would definitely listen to "Writing Fiction: The Top 100 Best Strategies for Writing Fiction Stories" again. I have been wanting to write a short story, and I have had the idea in my head for the longest time. I honestly have no idea where to begin, nor how to write the story. Well, while I listen to the audio books, I take as many notes as possible. I know that as I listen, and take notes, I am possibly missing something. so I will start the audio over again.
"Writing Fiction" is a self-help/self-improvement book, so there are no characters. However, if there were I would have to two. One would be Blaine Hart for writing the book, and Joshua Mackey for narrating it.
There are no scenes in this book, but what I chose is what I liked best about the book. Hart presents useful technique that exposes tension is “show not tell”. Try to make your dialogue vivid, nervous, full of opposite emotions like fear, love or admiration. That really helpful exercises and have a good result.
