Sorry calling this Unlimited Power is wrong. The book Unlimited Power is like humongous and this is 50 minutes. Not that its bad, but its just not the same and not worth "1 credit" here on Audible.
This book is almost 450 pages, the audio is 50 minutes from a seminar. It was pretty misleading as this is not the book with the same title. I guess I should have looked closer at the recording length and figured this out before I bought the book, but I missed it. I think it should be more clear in the description that this is not an audiobook.
I know that it is my own fault for not looking more closely, but this ABRIDGED 50 minute version of his book, is a RIP OFF
I love Tony Robbins, don't get me wrong. He's brash, to the point, and definitely a tour de force in the positive psychology and NLP world. This audiobook gives the listener a great taste of the Tony basics. However, it is NOT a reading of the book. As other reviewers have already stated, this brief reading spends about half the time trying to convince the listener to either buy a book or attend a seminar. If you're aware of that up front, it's not a bad listen. However, listener beware: this is a high level overview; for the details you'll have to go elsewhere.
This was just way too short. I did not realize when I bought it that it was under 1 hour. The information is always helpful, but just not enough.
After reading this book, I have been going around the house feeling like a jedi knight, repeating the mantra, "The power is within me" to my boyfriend, who rolls his eyes only because he doesn't know the secrets of the universe that I now know.
It's his loss, and your loss too, if you don't listen to these tapes. They may not unlock the secrets of the universe, but they will unlock motivation, dreams, and goals that you didn't even know you possessed.
Hail to the Robbins!
Although this is an abridged version, the main points are conveyed very clearly in an inspiring manner by Tony. He cautions that achieving success will be challenging. I believe if the listeners understand the principles Tony narrates in this 50 mts audio program and practice them consistently, success is inevitable.
Yes, I listen to it over and over as I do with all of my Audio Books. You always pick up something new everytime you listen.
Its easier to listen than read. Its rare for someone to re-read a Book since it takes so long to find the time to read in our busy lives today. But with audio Books, there is always time to listen.
"Good but too short to really work"
A very short book that serves as an introduction to Anthony Robbins. Although there is some good stuff in there, it mostly sounds like an advert for another more expensive training program. The book is a 'cut and paste' mix of autobiography, stand up showmanship and useful advice. Anthony Robins is charismatic all the way through but leaves you wanting more that this short book can deliver.
"Great content, just too short"
This is my first time trying out an audiobook and it seems strange to finish a book in 50 minutes! There was very good content as you would expect from Tony Robbins, I just think there could have been a lot more. I'm still going to buy the book as I'm pretty certain there is a lot more information in that. In terms of the content, great keys and tips for you to unleash your personal power! Definitely recommended.
"Decent introduction to self improvement"
This was a decent introduction to the world of self improvement. A little dated in delivery and surpassed by Tony's current work. The ideas however are timeless and I will listen to this over and over.
"This is not the book, but a 50 minutes talk of the same title"
I am quite disappointed that this is not an audio book of "Unlimited Power" by Tony Robbins. Rather, it is a 50 minutes talk by the author himself using the same title. The talk is very good. I was expecting the book.
Its good. I found it useful but could have been a bit longer. But overall is good.
"This guy is one of a knd!"
Amazing technics, motivation and inspiration, thanks Tony for all the hard work you put in during your early years to become the amazing person you are today!
"Money for old rope"
Useful and inspiring information cobbled together from various live shows and discussions. Would have preferred it to have been an original and longer audio recorded by Tony Robbins for the listener, but helpful regardless.
"He is not your Guru"
I just watched the documentary "I am not your Guru" which I really enjoyed and wanted to try some of Tony Robbins' other material. This was really disappointing. This is very cheesy and dated. I am sure that the material is still valid but I couldn't listen to the recording - it's SO bad. Tony Robbins (and the wider personal development category) have moved past this style of presentation and this is really a legacy piece. You can't say you weren't warned.
"Some good stuff"
Content was amazing! Very inspired from it, only 50mins though, but overall, very interesting and amazing stuff. Ta
"To the point"
Some books of his type feel like they have a point but are padded out to make the point or even increase the word count.
This is clear and concise.
