God gave us emotions to experience life, not destroy it! Lysa TerKeurst admits that she, like most women, has had experiences where others bump into her happy and she comes emotionally unglued. We stuff, we explode, or we react somewhere in between. What do we do with these raw emotions? Is it really possible to make emotions work for us instead of against us? Yes, and in her usual inspiring and practical way, Lysa will show you how. Filled with gut-honest personal examples and biblical teaching, Unglued will equip you to:

This book could apply to anyone who is looking at their life and want to improve their reactions and behaviors to everyday living.
I am enjoying this book so much that I bought it in audio and both in paperback and on my kindle too. It is one I will read over and over. It is as if it was written just for me.
I am very pleased that Lisa read her own book for the audio, as I enjoy hearing the authors narrating their own books instead of someone else.
Lisa is so real and honest in this book, as she is in Made to Crave (another one of her books that is fabulous.
Keep up the good work, Lisa. I really enjoy your books.
I love how Lysa is so open to sharing with us all about her short comings and struggles in order to better help us in the same areas. If you are an emotional person (exploder or stuffer) this book helps to open our eyes and point us to Christ! Definitely worth the read and I know it can help anyone who reads it. Lysa also does a great job reading it and she is able to get you into the emotion she is feeling because she is also the author. I recommend to anyone looking to become more grounded in their faith!
I have recommended this audiobook to several of my friends already. I am on my second listen and appreciate the sound biblical reminders the book offers when emotions rise and my own thoughts begin to prevail. It has served as a wonderful redirecting of my thoughts back to God's perspective.
I liked Lysa's vulnerability which she reveals throughout the book. I do not believe I would have stuck with the subject matter had I not believed she actually lived life like the rest of the world.
Of course it is much more enjoyable to listen to the author herself reading how she felt in those particular moments she is sharing. I think the impact can be greater on the listener.
It brought up some memories and examples within my own mind of my life and how much I have to be ready to practice "soul integrity" as she calls it - Godly honesty all of the time in every relationship. I was particularly drawn to her explanation and examples of putting up barriers vs. setting boundaries. I did smile and relate numbers of times with her examples.
I think this is a REAL girl's book. I would recommend it to any girl/woman who wants to be honest with herself and others and follow a God of honesty and truth.
The book was such an encouragement and reminder that my "unglued" moments are meant to diagnose underlying issues that need attention and perhaps lots of prayer for God to intervene. I especially loved the narration- it almost felt like I was in a coffee shop with Lisa having a heart-to-heart. Thank you so much Lisa for reminding me that God loves me even in my unpleasant moments....which are many. God bless you and may your ministry continue to thrive as you encourage others.
I am a wife, mother of four, full time worker, and one of my children is special needs. I come unglued very often this book was very helpful for putting my life back into perspective!
what a useful book and easy to identify with. even if the scenarios are a little different you can always find a way to do it to your life.
Thank you Lysa for sharing some of your unglued moments. This book made me laugh and it also made me examine some of my unglued moments. I analyzed them to see how I could have done things differently instead of coming unglued. My favorite part of the book is when you reminded me that I should not be anxious about anything but in prayer and supplication make my requests to him. Thank you!
I liked that this was read by the actual author. I could totally relate to so many of the things she went through, and I have reacted the same way. Her advice is Bible based common sense, but there were many "a ha" moments for me. I've read the Scriptures she's referenced (some several times), but didn't "get it" until now. It's nice to know "you're not the only one" no matter how "perfect" some try to portray themselves, you don't need to be. Change will happen with the renewing of your mind and trust in Him.
