God gave us emotions to experience life, not destroy it! Lysa TerKeurst admits that she, like most women, has had experiences where others bump into her happy and she comes emotionally unglued. We stuff, we explode, or we react somewhere in between. What do we do with these raw emotions? Is it really possible to make emotions work for us instead of against us? Yes, and in her usual inspiring and practical way, Lysa will show you how. Filled with gut-honest personal examples and biblical teaching, Unglued will equip you to:

I enjoyed listening to this. I tried reading the book and couldn't stay focused. But listening to Lisa was like talking with a girl friend.
Lysa TerKeurst, THANK YOU!!!! This book is ME!!!! I Thank God!!! Before today I did not know or ever heard of Lysa TerKeurst. I came across your name as I was reading a very old email sent to me to encourage and at the bottom of it there was something about Proverbs 31 Ministry. I clicked on it and begin to read.....WOW...everything that I had been praying to God for and things I had been going through. Lysa TerKeurst you are so real and I thank God that you as Saved as you may be you are willing to show how God brought you to healing and to deliverance. Thank You my new sister. God Bless You. I will be recommending this book to all ladies
Love her she's such a great writer and speaker in this book could not have been any more on target then it was I loved what she says about in perfect progress this because I must read.
Having a challenging time balancing marriage, motherhood, ministry, and s desire to work outside the home. Found myself yelping at spouse, kids, birds, etc. But I love God, why am I acting unloving? This book truly gave me a sense of calmness in knowing that I'm not alone.
Yes, the book is so practical and inspiring that I am in the process of listening to it again.
The author has great analogies to illustrate her points. I appreciate that she speaks from experience.
Perspective is everything. Imperfect progress.
I'm addicted to Audible. A new grandma I am responsible for my grandsons library, which reignited my interest in books.
Two mantras I will take with me forever. So nice the book is read by the author has there are some
Brave testimonials made more believable as she's reading them. Such a cheerful, funny and caring voice to walk is through such a debilitating, ugly, raw, embarrassing and shameful mine field of emotions. I love this book and will refer to it again and again if even just the epilogue. Thank you for this gift, I applied it immediately the very next day and saw wonderful results for myself and others. Imperfect progress using space for grace.
I just don't care for all the bible references.
Boring - uninterested - plain
This book is obviously for a person who believes in the bible. If you can think for yourself, this book is not for you. Clearly I didn't do my research before I bought it.
Lysa provides some really good advice on how to deal more effectively in relationships. Some relational and spiritual books can go really deep and generate long lists of do’s and don’t’s. This book is NOT like that and keeps the suggestions short, simple and practical. Lysa uses lots of real-life examples of what to do, and not do, to help the reader relate to each topic. This is a "chick" book but I found it very informative as well. My wife and I listened to it together on a recent trip and were barely able to refrain from poking each other with our elbows when the material really hit home with us. Overall, a well written and read book. Highly recommended!
Keep the "rules" or "lists" simple. The book's continual mantra is to be realistic. Perfection is NOT realistic, but progress is.
