Training Camp is an inspirational story filled with invaluable lessons and insights on bringing out the best in yourself and your team. The story follows Martin, an un-drafted rookie trying to make it in the NFL. He's spent his entire life proving to the critics that a small guy with a big heart can succeed against all odds. After spraining his ankle in the pre-season, Martin thinks his dream is lost - but then he meets a very special coach who shares 11 life-changing lessons that keep his dream alive, and might even make him the best of the best.
If you want to be your best, Training Camp offers an inspirational story and real-world wisdom on what it takes to reach true excellence and how you and your team (your work team, school team, church team, and family team) can achieve it.

I'm not a religious person at all, and I loved this book. Through the story, you keep hearing references of "Him" and "God" and at first it bothered me. But then IT happened.... In the story you are reminded that faith isn't about religion, it's about your relationship with whatever you believe in. I thoroughly appreciate that about this book.
In other topics, the story is great and does outline plenty of traits of achievers and successful people. It demonstrates how all that is not accomplished by one person, but all those around that person as well.
This book spoon feeds you the basics of working on your quest to greatness and really does a great of explaining fundamental activities which translate to all careers. I will reference this book often and turn back to it for the lessons that were laid out. You have to be open to greater powers than yourself to fully appreciate this book.
take heart to all rhe lessons Jon Gordon has written about! this one was truly inspirational! Thanks
This was my second Jon Gordon book after starting with the "Energy Bus". I love how he tied the stories together & gave wonderful strategy & tools that work in so many areas of life. I'll re-listen to this one FOR SURE!
Great follow-up book! I started with the book The Energy Bus and then listen to this one. I love how real and applicable the story was and feel anybody can improve on their mindset with the authors ability to write and make it more personal for his readers
This is an awesome read, very inspirational. If you are looking for the playbook to lift yourself up, this is it!
Well, I fell for it. I'm not sure if others read another book or if I just wasn't in the mood for this book but I thought it was just bad. I didn't find it inspiring in the least and the advice is about as lame as it gets. I will be asking for my money back on this one.
It is an easy-listening motivational audio book
Could improve a lot just by splitting the audio chapters to match the regular book.
