If you have a minor problem where you need help forgiving someone, this is a good listen for you. The book starts out pretty good and provides some excellent advice on what to do, though it is a little shaky on how to do it. It doesn't get any better after about the first hour. From thereon, it seems to repeat alot and just present examples of other peoples' plights. I was hoping for more, but did garner enough advice to make the listen worthwhile.
Been listening to and reading books for more than 30 years.... I should eat more though, as my pants seem to0 big now.
Forgiveness is an under preached but profoundly important perspective. This book answers the questions we all have about forgiveness, what it is, and importantly, what it isn't. I listen to it several times a year and each time I am reminded that I can give the great gift I have been given, and freedom results. In the face of the most horrible deeds, we can find freedom without sacrificing justice. Highly recommended.
I thought I was walking in forgiveness but through this book I realized I had a feww people I needed to let off the hook!!!
Having been mortally wounded by the actions of a close friend and family member, the content of this book was EXACTLY what I needed to hear at exactly the right time. I am so glad I found this book. I'm certain I will be reading it again a second and third time!
I am so thankful that I listened to the March 14th and 15th, 2016, Family Talk broadcast featuring Dr. James Dodson and Dr. R.T. Kendall. God's truth they spoke about concerning total forgiveness and Dr. Kendall's personal battle with it, was a gift. I was so diminished by my own hurt and inability to forgive that I could not get past it. I downloaded Total Forgiveness and, through prayer and a yielding of my will, I was truly set free by finally understanding that the intimate relationship I desired with God could only be had with a heart that could forgive.
I was able to forgive one person that I had struggled to forgive
I realized that we must not just stop at forgiveness, but move to praying blessings on the person
This book is a master piece
Really well explained and I especially love that the author reads - his pace is just right as the subject of forgiveness is tough and there is a lot to mull over.
"Great book, poor narration"
I read this book and loved it but the narration is robotic. Not always the best option for authors to narrate their own work and in this case I think an actor would have been much better.
"Dry and monotone."
This was so dry and monotone. I didn't like the mans voice and it really didn't keep me engaged. It was hard work to listen to. I'm sure it has some good content but I just couldn't stand it.
