Today, they call it "thinking out of the box". Lateral thinking. Creative thinking. Originality. All these are synonymous: the ability to leave the beaten track and follow a flash of intuition.
True, such a flash cannot occur in a mindless vacuum. Hours, days, and months of perspiration are essential precursors to that moment of inspiration we call genius. Yet mere stodgy industriousness driven by dogma and straitjacketed by conditioned thinking will not lead to inventions and breakthroughs. You must have the courage to make a fool of yourself in case your original idea is ridiculed as impractical. All great ideas that took human civilization forward were the result of the creativity of one man or woman who dared to think differently.
If you want to make a difference to the world around you, you can try to contribute original ideas, even if you were not "born creative" - whatever that may be. You can train your mind to look for the original, the out-of-the-ordinary, the next big thing, amidst the obvious and the mundane. Listen to this audiobook and benefit from the many creativity exercises it prescribes. You too can think laterally and find the great new idea!

If it were read in English, maybe.
The concept of the book intrigues me. I would have liked to have known what the author was talking about. Please don't let this review reflect on the content of the book. I just don't want others to make the same mistake.
