Think FAST! Let's be candid. It's a jungle out there. There is no end to the obstacles, challenges, mountains, and unexpected issues, even self-defeating thoughts, that get in the way of being the best you can be and achieving your goals and dreams.

In today's environment, everyone from top coaches and entrepreneurs, to corporate leaders, busy mothers, and grad students—everyone—is expected to make decisions and solve issues at the speed of light and with pinpoint accuracy. Think Fast! is a game-changer. This system has been field-tested in Fortune 500 corporate training sessions, with top business leaders, and in thousands of client consultations and solution-finding sessions. The results were so consistently effective that these same clients asked for a book to use as an ongoing learning tool—a virtual "coach".

This simple-to-use system will teach you to:

  • Immediately eliminate feeling overwhelmed and out of control

I loved hearing how to get past that feeling of being out of control and unable to make quick, meaningful decisions. With things moving so fast today, you don't have time to dwell on the minutia. This system shows how to cut through obstacles and self defeating thoughts, and make correct decisions every time, leaving you less stressed and full of renewed energy. A big help!

A fast and effective solution!!

A fast and effective solution!!

If you have issues juggling your time management and decision making with your everyday life, this is your book!

It will give you a comprehensive method to organize and work on your action items.

It does take a litlle bit of note taking, but once you have the method down, it becomes almost second nature and it helps a lot to become more focused and productive.

And the best thing is you get all this knowledge in less than 3 hours listening time!

PS. I rated 1 on the Story because there is no actual story to be told.

Summary: Write To-Do Lists

Any additional comments?

There is little or no value in this book. I listened almost halfway through until I realized this, because the author spends like 1 hour talking about how great this magical method that he and his "friends" developed over a period of years working in a fast paced corporate job. Once he gets to the actual "method" you realize that it is basically just common sense and making to-do lists, and overly simplistic decision making processes.

Anyone can make a list of choices - few can choose

I can't recommend this book. The narration is fine, but bland. Walter Dixon is a good voice talent, but the book contains lots of multiple choice lists. Having such lists read to you ad nauseaum isn't a pleasant experience.

Furthermore, the author seems to think one decision style fits all choices. It doesn't.

In make ways this book feels like a remix of Getting Things Done - even though GTD is a productivity book. Why? The solution he's suggesting really boilds down to: collect all your choices. Make sense of them / evaluate, and then choose.

That's not very useful, since most (at least myself) have trouble making decisions because we have trouble choosing. What's needed is focus on ones modalities, values, intuition, rational methods, and much more. Any fool can say: list your options and ... choose! (tadaaa...)

A much better choice is Confident Decision Making by Roger Dawson. It comes with a nice, comprehensive PDF plus he covers multiple decision styles and methods, and tells you which ones are good for particular decisions.
