    "Amazing and inspirational"
Would you consider the audio edition of The Way of the SEAL to be better than the print version?

I only listen to audio version. With too much of computer time everyday, I am starting to listen more reading in front of screen. Liked the audio version very much.

What did you like best about this story?

Strong focus on ethics, very inspirational and motivating.

What did you learn from The Way of the SEAL that you would use in your daily life?

Listen to the mind, declutter. Learn from the past, think in the present, plan for the future.

    "Not what I expected."
What did you like best about The Way of the SEAL? What did you like least?

Very little to like. This is a bad take off of an already proven system of mental management developed by Olympic Gold Medalist Lanny Basham.

    Any additional comments?

Lanny Basham's Mental Management System is what you want. We used his system as part of our training at the Olympic Center and is also used by the Navy SEAL's and CAG. Get the real deal, go with Lanny Basham.

    "Applies well to business"

The book definitely had some good insight about how to apply special ops tactics to personal and business situations. I even used one of the tools called the FITS (Fit, Important, Timing, Simple) test - which is how Seals select missions - as a framework to help select client targets in my own business. Worth the read if you keep an open mind to the techniques.

    Story
    "Embrace the suck!"
Would you consider the audio edition of The Way of the SEAL to be better than the print version?

The audio edition is easy to listen and the narrator is doing a great job, but it is hard if you actually want to do the exercises. The pdf that comes along is just not very complete, so in the end one has to constantly bookmark the important sections or re-listen to it.

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

There are several great concepts described in the book that make it very valuable. For example the concept of "Embrace the suck!" You just don't get the same personal growth by going always the easy way. You have to challenge yourself and that is going to be hard, but ultimately very rewarding.
