The Strangest Secret | [Earl Nightingale]

The Strangest Secret

I'd like to tell you about the strangest secret in the world. Not long ago, Albert Schweitzer, the great Dr. and Nobel Prize winner was being interviewed in London and a reporter asked him, "Doctor, what's wrong with men today?" The great doctor was silent a moment, and then he said, "Men simply don't think!" And it's about this that I want to talk with you. We live today in a golden age. This is an era that man has looked forward, dreamed of, and worked toward for thousands of years. But we take it for granted.

We live today in a golden age. This is an era that man has looked forward, dreamed of, and worked toward for thousands of years. But since it's here, we pretty well take it for granted. We in America are particularly fortunate to live in the richest land that ever existed on the face of the earth - a land of abundant opportunity for everyone.

    "Simplicity is the answer"

I first heard this I was working for PFS and it was on their required reading list. That was in 2007 and I’ve listened to it several time since. It was my first introduction to this kind of book and I found the message very simple: what I think about and concentrate on will come true if I’m willing to take the appropriate action to achieve it. I started setting goals with the attitude of attaining them. I learned to research and develop a game plan for my life based on truth and honesty. Over the years I’ve increased skills based on my dreams, goals and my desire to move forward. This is a short read and WELL worth it’s time to listen too.

"Earl Nightingale old cassettes are full of wisdom!"

This audiobook is composed by the old cassette recording made by Earl Nightingale. The content is spectacular and the reading is full of emotion and force, surely to inspire you to become the best person you can be and give you quite some insights on how to improve yourself and the world around you.

Be mindful that while the content and reading are phenomenal, the audio quality from the old cassettes leave a lot to be desired, with some background noises and a muffled voice in most chapters.

I recommend this book often. I was lucky enough to receive it at a young age and use it as a guide.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Strangest Secret?

When he asked the definition of success and how many people do not know it.

"Your Life Can Never Be the Same Again."

This little speech is life changing. Everything that I have ever managed to learn about this life is engraved here, in the simplest terms possible. The wisdom one hopes to acquire is always on the surface, yet so difficult to be acknowledged. The most simple things are the hardest to accept. This audio recording is short and precise. Every single word is vital, so it is up to a listener to grasp as much of it as he can.

It will take years and years to make these 30 minutes a part of one's life. A great sense of calm and peace will be discovered, together with abundance and happiness at acceptance and realization of these words. Yet not the final destination is the reward, but the journey itself.

    “Seek, And Ye Shall Find”
“Knock, And It Shall Be Opened Unto You”
