Entering the terrain of wisdom comes at any age. We sometimes step, sometimes stumble, and other times are pulled into the territory of the Crone when the need for a deeper, larger understanding of our most meaningful paths in life can no longer be denied, and when the gifts are hidden in our challenges must be brought forth.

I found this work both moving and soothing. I've been working my way through The Dangerous Old Woman series before bed and it has been the perfect and relaxing, but thoughtful way to end the day.

Clarissa Pinkola Estes is very quickly becoming one of my favorite author/storytellers. There is great depth and insight in what she shares and still it is very practical. I am able to assimilate her ideas in a way that enables my personal growth in a very satisfying way and I recommend her work, specifically The Power of the Crone, to women of all ages.
Loved hearing the author as teacher, storyteller, and Grandmother. She put the nourishing spirit and humour together to touch reader's hearts and minds. Loved it!!
Performance was terrible. It takes time to adjust her hispanic accent. Plus sometimes she laughs at her own jokes for 3 to 5 seconds long which was an utter annoyance to listen to.
I did not find it healing or therapeutic. They were like stories which are open to interpretation.
And I hate jungian psychology too maybe that's why I could not manage to like this one.
