"Not a field guide - just musings"

Apparently Lawrence Block does not know the definition of a field guide. If he did, he would not have just bound together a bunch of previously written articles without a form of organization and so named it. A field guide is meant to be referred to during a trip and help individuals distinguish things. This book does little of that. For example, he offers a few dropping about research -- but it is told like memoir. If you a looking for that, give it a listen. To me, this just lacked the punch of its title.
