My pastor recommended this to me for premarital counseling and I am glad I did. It has helped me to know what I will be needing to do.
This book puts love into an easy perspective
Everyone should read this book. EVERYONE
I feel everything makes sense now and I am more confident in my love giving and receiving abilities
creates an open mind to your actions and the actions of others
My only critique is that I feel this book doesn't emphasize that all of these love languages should be utilized. Not just one or two. Dr. Chapman never states to o my use one or two love languages, but it needs to be emphasized that all these are important to make a successful relationship, just some should be used more often.
While the list of audiobooks purchased is quite short, The Five Love Languages is my favorite purchase.
No other books I have partaken it have compared to this book.
The individual breakdown of my specific love language was most memorable to me.
Learning to love in a different language than your own.
Great read and would recommend to anyone
This book has help me understand my wife and her needs. It has made me see the hints that she has been giving me for years. It's also taught me how to love her in the way that makes her feel special and happy. Currently we are not living in the same home, so it makes it a little bit hard for me to give her acts of service, which is what I believe the love languages is. But I hope I get the opportunity to use the new tools that I have learned in this book, I believe it can save our marriage.
