Sue Patton Thoele continues her quest to help listeners enhance their self-esteem and tap into their core emotional strength. Geared toward women who too often find themselves meeting the wants of others at the expense of their own needs, this book provides necessary tools to help listeners transform their fears into the courage to express their own authentic selves. By sharing her own journey and the journey of other women, Thoele helps listeners learn to set boundaries, change self-defeating behavior patterns, communicate effectively, and become a loving and tolerant friend to themselves. This 10th-anniversary edition contains 30 percent new material, including a new introduction.

The author's message is to have love and compassion towards yourself. She touches on a variety of negative emotions we might have, but does it in a positive and encouraging way. The narrator is perfect, she reads slow and has warmth.
This book is similar to Self-Compassion, another book that I love. Which also has excellent narration.
An absolute must read (listen)! This book was exactly what I needed! Ordering the hard copy now :) My heart is wide open after this book, every part hit home and healed parts of me I didn't know needed healing. Thanks for having the courage to write this book, I have a feeling I'll be listening to it many times over! Do yourself a Favor, buy the book!
There are so many empowering takeaways that I got from this book...too many to mention, in fact. It bears listening to again...and again, and again...until it all sinks in.
I may end up getting this in print as a reference...especially for the Woman's Bill of Rights that I would LOVE to have hanging up in my office as a constant positive reminder of what I am capable of.
May this book reach the eyes and ears of all women and young ladies who have yet to learn how amazing they truly are. 💜
this book helped me during a very dark time in my life. The affirmations and the things I learned in this book helped me to be healthier and emotionally stronger. I highly recommend it.
Allowed me to gain insight into my mind. I recently finished writing on fear (before listening) and was shocked at Chapter 2. Chapter 2 was a replica of what I had just written.
