Sue Patton Thoele continues her quest to help listeners enhance their self-esteem and tap into their core emotional strength. Geared toward women who too often find themselves meeting the wants of others at the expense of their own needs, this book provides necessary tools to help listeners transform their fears into the courage to express their own authentic selves. By sharing her own journey and the journey of other women, Thoele helps listeners learn to set boundaries, change self-defeating behavior patterns, communicate effectively, and become a loving and tolerant friend to themselves. This 10th-anniversary edition contains 30 percent new material, including a new introduction.

The author's message is to have love and compassion towards yourself. She touches on a variety of negative emotions we might have, but does it in a positive and encouraging way. The narrator is perfect, she reads slow and has warmth.
This book is similar to Self-Compassion, another book that I love. Which also has excellent narration.
Allowed me to gain insight into my mind. I recently finished writing on fear (before listening) and was shocked at Chapter 2. Chapter 2 was a replica of what I had just written.
