Your inner Chimp can be your best friend or your worst enemy... this is the Chimp Paradox. Do you sabotage your own happiness and success? Are you struggling to make sense of yourself? Do your emotions sometimes dictate your life? Dr. Steve Peters explains that we all have a being within our minds that can wreak havoc on every aspect of our lives - be it business or personal. He calls this being "the chimp," and it can work either for you or against you. The challenge comes when we try to tame the chimp, and persuade it to do our bidding.
The Chimp Paradox contains an incredibly powerful mind management model that can help you be happier and healthier, increase your confidence, and become a more successful person. This audiobook will help you to recognize how your mind is working, understand and manage your emotions and thoughts, and become the person you would like to be. Dr. Peters explains the struggle that takes place within your mind and then shows you how to apply this understanding. Once you're armed with this new knowledge, you will be able to utilize your chimp for good, rather than letting your chimp run rampant with its own agenda.

I read this at a manager's request to our team. I can see why now - we deal with customers, both internal and external, and there are disagreements, issues to overcome & conflict. This book helps rationalize those gut instincts we all have inside of us. I feel like even knowing we all have responses or reactions, that now after reading this book I'm more cognizant of them and can "manage my mind" better than I was previously. Before reacting, the idea of the chimp comes to mind and I believe handle things differently for the better.
Even if you have a strong mentality and you posses a problem free life. This book will benefit you. It will shine some light on why we think and feel the we do. It really is that good
I have recommended it already to so many people. In our complex world it is unusual to meet anyone who has a perfectly balanced mind, and this book has s many techniques and lessons in it, that it has something in it for everyone.
It has most of the information I needed to sort out my life. I couldn't get this in 20 visits to a therapist or psychologist.
Great voice to listen to. You won't get bored.
Not possible. It is a long complex book and I had to listen to it three times for it to fully sink in.
Every human should get a copy along with their passport, driving license and library card. It's really an owner's manual for humans.
An excellent book with simple explanation on how our brain works and why we react to challenges and situations. Great book to make us conscious of our behavioral management. I wish I had known about this book in my younger years!
