Transformative!

What did you love best about The Art of Possibility?

This book opened my thoughts, feelings, and made me feel like I could reinvent my life for the better. Mostly, the book stirred my joy and excitement!

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Art of Possibility?

There are so many memorable moments in this book. There is so much to learn and take in, I am still processing what I have learned and trying to apply it to my life. But, I think the most memorable practices in their teachings are "It's all invented" and "Giving an A" because these were the first and easiest for me to put into practice, and have made a positive impact.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, I wanted to savor it over a few days. And I am reading it again.

Any additional comments?

This book is beautifully produced and read by the authors. Each practice is underscored by classical music, great storytelling, and believable, authentic narrations by both authors.

Always leaves me with a reason to smile.

Life can always be hard, frustrating or difficult. I listened to this book over several weeks and each time I ended a session, I had a reason to smile. It is a constant reminder that, in every situation, there is always possibility and that your outlook is your choice.

Inspiring

Truly an inspiring book! The author's insights into motivating and productively interacting with other people helped me think about social situations in an entirely new light. The authors do a very good job narrating their own work, and the bits of classical music add a wonderful touch.

Stand Out Magnificent!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Art of Possibility to be better than the print version?

Yes. Both authors bring their own story and personalities to life as well as the music in this audiobook, tells so much of the story and makes it real. I couldn't imagine how it could be so engaging in print. If you have it in print, catch the wow factor with the audio!

What does Rosamund Stone Zander and Benjamin Zander bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Their personalities, their inflections and tonality brings the examples to present time and real life. They became my companions and advisors through out the book.

What insight do you think you’ll apply from The Art of Possibility?

The Practices are brilliant. I did take some notes on my iPhone as I listened. I couldn't help but want to capture the action steps they give to engage in "the practice".

Any additional comments?

This one climbed it's way right to my top favorite! What a joy to listen to and the perspective and information has me feeling as though I have lifted or elevated my own thinking and actions! (with more to come as I further apply what I've learned ;)

Make it this one!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Art of Possibility to be better than the print version?

If you only hear one audiobook this year, make it this one. And, yes, listen to it. Because Ben Zander is the conductor of the Boston Philharmonic, many of their examples are based on musical metaphors, and to miss that is to lose out on some of the beauty and generosity of the book. Plus, Mr Zander and his wife are uncommonly good narrators probably because they have taught this material so often in public.

What did you learn from The Art of Possibility that you would use in your daily life?

When I am conscious of my role as the filter and framer of my own reality, it becomes simpler to alter what I see and experience. This is not airy-fairy, ceiling-surfing, It's a design for practical acceptance of life as it is. Instead of being tedious and colorless, however, this island of "what is" opens into the surrounding sea of unlimited possibility. This is where art and commerce are one, where passion and precision are one, and where you and I are one.
