In Stella Adler's The Art of Acting, her seminal work on the performing arts, transcripts from Adler's acting classes were lovingly transformed into a readable volume. In the same vein, The Art of Living presents transcripts from legendary business speaker and mentor Bob Proctor's most popular workshop - Matrixx - and brings this wisdom to a wider audience in book form.
With this audiobook, the listener will become a student of Bob Proctor as he teaches lessons and presents jewels of wisdom on living an extraordinary life. Listeners will marvel at Proctor's miraculous way of disseminating his decades of business wisdom into easy-to-understand parables and learn lessons on what our creative faculties are and how to use them, why we need to unlearn most of the false beliefs we've been indoctrinated with our whole lives, and how our intellects have the ability not only to put us ahead in life but also to be our biggest detriment.

I can completely agree with everything that he shared the only challenge or thing to do is to apply the principles and rules with in this book
This is one of those terrible books that is worse than useless; worse because most of it is ridiculous nonsense that a foolish person might mistake for real advice. It is the literary equivalent of buying phony medicine -- not only won't it help, but because you think that you have done something useful, it will prevent you from seeking something that might actually work. The only parts of "The Art of Living" that come close to being helpful are the references to Dale Carnegie's "How to Win Friends and Influence People". Skip this third-rate tripe and buy (and study!) Dale Carnegie's masterwork instead.
I listened to it entirely a total of 5 times. The first time on a trip I took across several states to visit friends. The second in bed while I relaxed during a holiday weekend. The 3rd time on drives to work and back home, but this time I started taking notes through Audible. The 4th time In spurts during breaks while waiting or while I was doing daily errands or working out. And finally the last time I transcribed my notes into a notebook. I will most likely listen to it several more times before the end of the year. IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE! JUST DO WHAT IT SAYS.
This is basically the pscho-babble of positive thinking with the goal to make money.
The author is a BS artist who in his own mind is the best thing since sliced bread.
I enjoyed the no-nonsense advice. Doesn't try to hand-hold you, and the narrator helps vocalize it. I feel a slight confidence boost and motivated to start making my life the way I want it. I'll have another listen and see if I still feel that way.
After reading Your Born Rich, I knew I had to get another one of Bob's books. The Art of Living helps to shift your paradigm and change your life in a very positive way. Bob destroys your limiting beliefs and shows you a way to live the life you imagine. Very much recommended.
Confirms everything I've already thought. I'm already a very positive and proactive person. This book gives me motivation to hone that positivity into things and relationships I want. Everything is a choice.....everything.
