Those who have made the decision to homeschool their children have done so out of great love for them and a desire to provide them an excellent education in the context of a warm, enriching home. Yet so many parents (mainly mothers) who have taken up this challenge find the enterprise often full of stress, worry, and anxiety. In this practical, faith-based, and inspirational book, Sarah Mackenzie addresses these questions directly, appealing to her own study of restful learning and her struggle to bring restful learning to her (six) children.

This book is amazing. As a new homeschooling mom (in our 5th week of our 2st homeschool year), I have already come to feel slightly overwhelmed with all there is " to do". The fear creeps up from time to time about whether or not I'll screw up our kids. But, I know the Lord has called me to do this great work. I must continue to trust that He will see it through to completion. I must rest in that.
Thank you, Sarah for reminding me to rest- to trust that when I need Him (which is all the time), He will immediately answer my cry. I can rest assured in that.
I loved this book!! I am preparing to listen to it again as I paint our study room. This book gave wonderful quotes and references. The advice and examples were easily appliable to daily life. The reader (who is also the author) read it beautifully. It was like she was inside my head as she wrote it and it was like talking to a dear friend as she read it.
will listen to over and over to be reminded of my why and how not to get overwhelmed while educating my children at home. the author does a wonderful job expressing her heartfelt emotions on the topic.
This book was exactly what I needed right now. I gained so much from the simple truths found within and I will be revisiting it often for reminders along my Homeschool journey!
"A fortifying book :)"
A very encouraging and practically helpful book which I plan to read again and again. Sarah's so easy to listen to. She did make me well up at various points with her wise assurances, which is no bad thing.
