Publisher's summary

The experience of meaningful coincidences is universal. They are reported by people of every culture, every belief system, and every time period. Synchronicity examines the evidence for the human influence on the meaningfulness of events, and the way the modern computational model of the mind predicts how we create meaning.

It demonstrates that these events, based on the activity of the mind, are caused by the person who perceives them.

In this fascinating work, you will:

  • Learn to use your amazing ability to create synchronistic events
  • Discover how your mind creates the reality you experience
  • Unlock your brain's vast resources of connectivity and creativity
  • Change from living as a separate being to living as a part of the unified whole

Synchronicity will show you how you already create events around you, and make you a conscious co-creator of your reality. Dr. Surprise describes the miracles of your brain's processes, merging the worlds of modern physics and ancient mysticism to reveal abilities you have always possessed, but which were not fully understood - until now.

Learn to make reality dance to the rhythms of your thoughts.

Is this a quantum physics book?

I wanted a more clear understanding about synchronicity. But this book feels like it came out of an episode of the Big Bang Theory.
The author goes through quantum physics explanations which lost me half way through.
It would be a much simpler and enjoyable read if he used concepts easier for everyone to understand.

Excellent book. Practical, funny, and illuminating

If you could sum up Synchronicity in three words, what would they be?

Mechanics of manifestation

What other book might you compare Synchronicity to and why?

It stands on it's own. It has elements of psychology, spirituality, consciousness. The author takes a scientific approach to explaining his ideas and seems to have put a lot of thought and experimentation into his theories.

What does Ralph Morocco bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He lets the book stand on its own without distracting the listener.

Definitely Worth The Listen!

I really enjoyed this book! As a person who has experienced and been aware of many synchronicities throughout my life, this book helped me not to feel so alone. The book also explained phenomena that I’ve wondered about for ages in an easy to understand way. This book gives lots of examples, and is written through the lens of the writers quirky sense of humor and from the point of view of the “open minded skeptic.” Thought I don’t agree with the book on every point, or take as gospel some of the theoretical underpinnings of the authors point of view, I nonetheless found the book incredibly interesting. Great Job Kirby Surprise!!!

Thought-Provoking if a Little Dry at Times

Lots of great information to ponder here, despite the sometimes dry writing and performance. For anyone who experiences synchronicity on a regular basis this offers thought-provoking insight. And as Surprise himself says though, decide for yourself what you think.

Entertaining and Informative

This book is worth 10x what I paid. I looking forward to listening to it again and again.

The content is balanced well between science and spirituality. The author is respectful to the reader in his delivery of the content. And the voice is a perfect match with the content.

5 stars all around.

Fascinating Book

Dr. Surprise writes a fascinating book combining neuroscience psychology and spirituality that is both captivating and insightful. He doesn’t hold back from postulating some far out metaphors that describe the entire phenomena. I had been reading about decision making and studying it prior to starting the book and then had a family member get admitted to a psychiatric ward for delusional thinking. I had purchased the book awhile back but then just decided to read it seeming randomly. I couldn’t believe the coincidence when I found out the book address all these topics. Quite the synchronicity :)

Enlightening

Kirby does an excellent job describing SE and the impact they can have on our lives. Although subjective, Kirby explains in such a way that can guide to a object view. Highly recommend!
