If you could sum up Straight Talk, No Chaser in three words, what would they be?

Wisdom, Feelings and Understanding. I have thought all along that Steve Harvey is a person of substance. He is quick thinking and yet, his words are always well chosen. Throughout this whole book, he speaks of leading his boys and setting a good example by being the right kind of father and husband.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Straight Talk, No Chaser?

The fifty year old man who was married before. It was pretty straight forward. I found it very informational. If I ever found myself alone, I would not want to stay alone, but I have to be realistic. 75+ year old women are not in demand! I would like to think I could have some kind of male companion. I've never been alone, I would either love it, or totally hate it.

Which scene was your favorite?

When he had lunch with his 13 year old daughter. I remember when I was 13 and I spent time with my father, but I would never have discussed boys with him. I think my dad would have had me wait until I was 21 but, even then, he would not have liked it very much. Steve Harvey, once again, chose his words well.

What insight do you think you’ll apply from Straight Talk, No Chaser?

I'm 75, I have been Married for 50 years. I wish I would have read this when I was 24. I could have had a whole different life. As it is, God led me and I made good choices. I called it luck, but it was God. No one is that lucky. I met my husband in a bar. My mother told me, "You will never find a good man in a bar. He drank every night in that bar and dated all of the females that frequented the place." As luck would have it, He decided to stop the drinking, became successful in his chosen profession. He was a wonderful father. After meeting his parents, I could see where all of the good in him came from. He had a good dad and his mother was wonderful.

It was great that Steve Harvey narrated his book. It was wonderful to hear him and he understood his intention, so it came across as he intended.

Yes it met my expectations and more. It was truly a eye opener for me. Steve Harvey narrated beyond my imagination. Thank you for the real truth.

Felt Natural

I liked it. It was practical and easy to follow along. Not too much crammed in there so I'll be able to remember. I also appreciated the examples inserted along the way. It was like listening to an older male figure schooling you.

Loved it!

The book helped me understand my husband so much more, and find closure and understand my past relationships as well as why they didn't work out in the first place. My relationship with my husband is so much better specially because he doesn't know I've read the book so I've changed so much he seems a little confused but he seems a lot happier with the changes I've made. We're both really young and I'm glad I was able to find all the right solutions to marriage issues.

Incredible Wisdom From a Comedian!

Practical, straight talking advice from an unusual source….., a well known comedian! I found this book to not only be accurately informative but a thoroughly enjoyable read. I highly recommend this book above all others on the subject of dating. Very well done, Steve Harvey!
