Encourage all Police Officers to read this

I encourage all LEOs I meet to purchase this book. I tell them if they don't read it twice in 3 months I'll buy it off of them. I have never had to buy a book.

This is a MUST read.

Interesting subject

A very interesting book on a remarkably important subject. Lies! The authors seem to possess the know-how and put forward a sizable number of examples to that end. Unfortunately they chose to provide a limited amount of details on those examples which impairs the ability of the reader to fully grasp the concept being advanced. I concede that there is a chance that was precisely the goal.
In any event, a good book for non-experts (like me) in the subject of deception and interrogation.

Insightful

This book teaches you how to collect data On the fly. The idea is that you train yourself to pick up clusters of inconsistencies.

This book has the potential to change many interactions. Very useful.

Know who is truthful.

Gives the information to learn the skill. It is amazingly simple and incredibly it really works.

Would you consider the audio edition of Spy the Lie to be better than the print version?

Not better than print. There are indexes that are not included in the audible version. But a great listen! Whenever I finish one book, I go right back and listen to Spy The Lie for a review. Love it!

What did you like best about this story?

I was shocked by all the ways people, politicians, coworkers, bosses, KIDs, everyone lies. Especially useful for parents!!

Being able to identify the times and ways people prevaricate. Very interesting...MMT

Very good, and very detailed

I loved this book. I'm about to listen to it again as it has so much detail, it's hard to capture the first time.

Fantastic

I love this book. I have the hard copy and have read it several times. I was thrilled to find it in audio form because i like to refresh on the extremely informative and valuable skills they break down. I was really impressed with the narrator as well. He had a great voice that seemed to fit the topic. He was a strong reader and showed natural emotion instead of monotones. This book not only breaks down cases to show you how the model works, it talks about how you can use it yourself effectively and it really does work. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in behavior detection or deception. Especially if you work in public service.
