Splitting: Protecting Yourself While Divorcing Someone with Borderline or Narcissistic Personality Disorder | [Bill Eddy, Randi Kreger]

Splitting: Protecting Yourself While Divorcing Someone with Borderline or Narcissistic Personality Disorder

Divorce is difficult under the best of circumstances. When your spouse has borderline personality disorder (BPD), narcissistic personality disorder (NPD), or is manipulative, divorcing can be especially complicated. While people with these tendencies may initially appear convincing and even charming to lawyers and judges, you know better - many of these "persuasive blamers" leverage false accusations, attempt to manipulate others, launch verbal and physical attacks, and do everything they can to get their way. Splitting is your legal and psychological guide to safely navigating a high-conflict divorce.

I am a clinical psychologist and writer living in Colorado's Vail Valley. I taught myself to read when I was 3 and I have been a voracious reader ever since. I love science fiction, literature, and non-fiction about psychology, business, history, politics, science and biography. I adore audiobooks and my kindle.

"Read this Now if You are Divorcing a Borderline"
What did you love best about Splitting?

Very useful advice about the court system and custody matters, with advice from two experts who give specific to people who are in a court battle with someone who suffers from borderline and or narcissistic/antisocial traits.

Well written and well read. More than worth the price if you are involved in such a situation, think you might be in the future, or just want to know more about personality disorders.

What other book might you compare Splitting to and why?

Stop Walking on Eggshells by Randi Krieger. Written by one of the authors and a more comprehensive overview of BPD and NPD.

Have you listened to any of Jeffrey Kafer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    no

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    yes
