How does a New York City publicist and party girl turn into a go-to guide for the next generation? In her new book, Spirit Junkie: A Radical Road to Self-Love and Miracles, Gabrielle Bernstein shares the story of how she transformed her life, offering her spiritual journey as a guidebook for overcoming fear, changing perceptions, and creating a life you’re psyched to wake up for.
Bernstein has traded self-doubt and addiction for a new kind of high. In 2005 she became a student of A Course in Miracles and since then she has been guided to teach those spiritual principles to the next generation of seekers.

"In this mixture of humor, grief and how-to instructions on achieving enlightenment, Bernstein offers more than just autobiography or a user’s guide to meditation.... A groovy blend of meditative and instructive writing." (Kirkus)
This delightful book is a great guide for anyone looking to find a closer relationship with spirit and a way out of the rut in may feel you're stuck in any failures you may have found in your past and your current life you will be able to release and move forward with your spiritual peaceful life
I've been on a very similar spiritual journey like Gabbys since 2006 and although our stories of struggle and dark times aren't the same, our walk in Spirit is nearly parallel. Her words helped me understand many of the struggles I've had throughout my own walk in healing, and I know now that I am not alone. I look forward to reading more of her books and possibly attending her spirit junkie trainings. Thank you Gabby for your transparency, and clear cut communication and revelation. I am forever grateful. #namaste
A must for anyone searching for the next journey without fear! Thank you for this mind, eye and heart opening experience.
This book was the perfect content for me on a long solo road trip to start a journey to "find myself". Gabrielle had so many great tools and insights that I can't wait to put in practice!
Like she says in the book, this content truly finds you at the right time and you "read it when you need it!".
Highly recommend for anyone searching for a foundation of love through seemingly difficult transformative life experiences. This is a great Kickstarter to launch into radical self love.
Only critique is that she speaks somewhat slow throughout. It's very soothing, but a little too trance like while on a long road trip.
I really wanted to like this book and I thought I would get a lot out of it but felt like Bernstein was just telling and re-telling and re re telling all of her life drama (anxiety, drug addiction, problems with boyfriends) it just left me feeling really bored. An hour into it I had to turn it off, completely over it at that point.
This was my first introduction to Gabrielle, and it won't be my last. I listened to the audio version and loved her voice and choice of words. I listen to the book every night as a type of meditation and just love it. I've read many self-improvement books, but this one seemed to resonate best. Gabrielle is clear, direct, and easy to understand. 5 stars!!
Bought this based on a couple of the reviews that I read here. I just didn't feel like I got that much out of it and was disappointed in it as an audiobook, I wouldn't recommend it. Maybe as a hard copy I could go through to review again. But I listen to these while I'm driving so didn't get much out of the meditations.
no, I felt like she was referencing this other woman's program and since I hadn't read anything from her I felt like I was missing something. Made me feel like I should just read that other lady's book.
I thought she did a good job reading it and liked her personality.
I wouldn't recommend it because there wasn't much substance to it, or valuable information.
