I tried a different audiobook by this author, Vipassana Meditation, and I loved it - so I thought I would try his sleep meditation as well. I was pleased, and found the meditation to be peaceful. I didn't fall asleep right away, which is normal for me - but I did feel extremely relaxed and eventually did end up falling asleep while the music was still playing. Even though it took me a while, I did feel it was effective and even felt like my blood pressure lowered. I tried it again a few more times and had the same calming effect that made getting to sleep a little easier. I liked the narration very much and enjoyed the music.
The narrator has an incredible voice that's perfect for this type of work. It is a wise, soothing and relaxing voice that puts you at ease.
It was very easy to fall asleep to this audio. Very glad I found it when I did.
Being a lifelong insomniac I have tried everything including CPAP, meditations, phammaceuticals, herbs, minerals, grounding, teas, light therapy... You name it. In combination with some of those therapies this program is my go to at night.
I would give it 5 stars but the talking in a later chapter, after falling asleep, has startled me. It would be nice if the tone or volume could go down the farther along you are in the chapters. I do love it though. It was definitely worth the $ to me!
