"A totally hilarious and uncensored look at some of the impossible situations we mothers find ourselves in." (TheBump.com)
"Smartly, brashly, nearly criminally funny. It also - no small thing - carries a powerful message to all parents, but especially moms, that distilled to its essence is this: chill." (Time.com)
"As the attachment parenting craze has hit a zenith in American culture, four very funny moms - comedy writers, TV producers, and a novelist - blast open a long-locked safe filled with frustrations faced by all modern mothers, with sympathetic and sharp humor…. The authors' unfiltered candor is a welcome reminder for readers that they're not alone…." (Publishers Weekly, Starred Review)
So funny, I was actually laughing out loud. My kids looked at me like I was crazy. These women should write a book geared towards moms with younger kids who are close together.
I have no time to read so audio was perfect.
I think all moms should read this. It applies to all of us. The only ones that should not read are those who take offense to foul language.
It was pretty funny. A few bits were too dark but I did laugh out loud a couple times. Narration was terrible. Flat and monotonous. The whole time I was repeating the words in my head in how I thought it would have been said.
Couldn't stop laughing and gained some practical tips! Hello sleeping in on the weekends! A must listen.
Her voice drove me crazy! I'm all for sarcasm and humor when it comes to the huge job of being a busy mom but this was just weird and spoke down to the reader. Don't bother.
Great reality check for people overwhelmed by the "good mom" checklist, esp non-moms (Noms). Makes parenting feel much more approachable.
This book is garbage. It's not funny and it was not worth the money. I would not recommend it to anyone.
I expected a more funny, entertaining -relate to kind of book, and this was trashy and tired.
If you are looking for a legitimate self help parenting book... This may not be for you. A lot of the advice is sarcastic and meant for humor. I absolutely loved the book and would recommend it if you can take jokes on parenting...
