Being written all over again by someone who appreciates what is it like to have low self-esteem.
If you are a trainee doctor and want to learn about what self-esteem is then this is the book for you.
If you want advice on how to actually get better this is NOT the book for you.
Of all the books I have purchased so far this is by far the best book. Great content.
The authors really spent a lot of time writing this book. They paid great attention to detail. It really is an excellent book about how to build your self-esteem.
No, this is my first reading by him.
Self-Esteem: How to rebuild what has already been broken
I read a review before I purchased this audiobook and he said that the voice of the narrator is a bit depressing; I agree that he could have read with a little more liveliness but at the end of the day the content is so rich that I overlooked his voice. Also, I never ever take the time out to write reviews but this book is so good I was compelled to write a review.
I loved the technical breakdown on self esteem and improving it. I picked this up at a very low point in my depression to help with therapy I was going through.
Great book, helped me a lot to understand a topic of self esteem and to find good, practical ways to deal with self-criticism. I recommend this book to anyone who judges himself too much!
I gave this two stars for one reason: I realized that I have a healthy self esteem after listening to this. The narrator is terrible and could lead a depressed person deeper into the abyss of sorrow. The content is nothing new and can be summarized into ten seconds: "To change you life, change your thoughts. Stop negative self talk and learn to appreciate your life, one piece at a time."
This was a great book. It was more informative in regards to my mental processes and thought patterns than I thought possible. The strategies and exercises are practical and effective.
