Publisher's summary

Hidden deep within you is an unstoppable power. Unstoppable in relationships. Unstoppable in achievement. Unstoppable in revelation. This power is so extraordinary that even just a brief glimpse of its infinite potential reveals the possibility of touching the stars themselves. Its stirring inspires us to create, to learn, to grow as we must, to realize the purpose of our own being.

The barriers that presently keep us from the success we seek (limitation, discouragement, bad luck) hold no real authority over this unclaimed gift. When we awaken to its higher possibilities, there's literally nothing that can stand in our way. And while these claims may sound too good to be true, they're understated, if anything. One could literally fill hours and hours with listing the extraordinary benefits of the unstoppable life, and the words would still pale in comparison to the real possibilities.

However, as with all things that seem too good to be true, there's a catch. There's a reason why most people don't know and will never know the reality of this extraordinary inner-strength: Most people are content with their lives "as is". But, if you're one of the rare few who are NOT content with "life as usual", and you aspire to better yourself, your loved ones, and the world at large, then this program was meant just for you.

It's different from anything you've ever seen or heard before. It has nothing to do with positive thinking, goal setting, visualization, overcoming people or events with psychological powers, or gaining an advantage at the expense of anyone or anything else. It's much better than all of those temporary success techniques.

Secrets of Being Unstoppable gives you a realistic, complete, and accurate blueprint for realizing your full potential. Listen now and take a giant leap toward the higher life your heart longs for.

Worst audible purchase

I have read quite many books and heard many audio books - this is by far the worst of all. Why? - 1) content is extremely shallow - i thought may be this tape is like digging for gold, and have to go through lot of dirt to find it, but after listening for 8 hours - I finally gave up...leave gold, no prospects of bronze also. 2) repetition - speaker drags one shallow subject endlessly. 3) cosntruction of statements - seems like speaker is trying to impress upon his superior construction of statements, but forgot the number 1 objective of speaking that message should be conveyed effectively. 4)voice - very irritating voice and extremely irritating and most of the time unnecessary laughter.
I have taken out so much time to write this review because a) I am frustrated of being wasted 8 hours b) to save some from this egregious audio book.

Unlistenable

I could not get halfway through this audiobook. The narrator (the author) sounded like an evangelical preacher without the salvation part. When I could get beyond the annoying voice, I found precious little meaty subject matter. A few good stories, and not much more.

A Goad on the Path of Enlightenment

Just when I thought I was alone, having no one who understood what I was experiencing on the path of enlightenment, the Light within me attracted to me the teachings of Guy Finley. I have been motivated (goaded) and energized to continue on. I enjoy staying engaged and in tuned with the logic, light, and laughter expressed by this tuly blessed soul. Guy...thanks so much for sharing!

Not For Everyone....But Amazing....

If you could sum up Secrets of Being Unstoppable in three words, what would they be?

If you are on a spiritual path, and have been exposed to the likes of Deepak and Eckhart, I recommend to take the next step with Guy Finley.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Secrets of Being Unstoppable?

The bad reviews of this audio reflect, IMHO, the stupidity of the listener. I know that sounds harsh but its true. Perhaps stupidity is too strong of word...let me instead say not everyone is ready to receive his message (which is not really a message of his own, its just spiritual principles in his own words).

He's quite the intellect and deeply passionate, the later quality of which I found endearing.

Guy Finley has an incredibly nimble mind...he's a true spiritual guru. Some of his concepts require repeated listenings...but there is SO much wisdom in what he has to offer. I have listened to Eckhart and Esther Hicks, and while they are great, felt something missing from their core message.

With Guy, I felt like it was more comprehensive and awakening.

What about Guy Finley’s performance did you like?

Basically Guy offers a path to a fearless life. There is a lot of a-ha moments throughout this recording. The learning (awakening) and self-realization is the first step. Living in accordance with this new level of self-awareness is his invitation through his impassioned words.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

Any additional comments?

No

Incomprehenssible

The book is incompressible,

- maybe he can't write
- maybe he is a fake and is trying to hide it

Incredibly long run on sentences with multiple relative clauses. We linguist speak of 'reference.' He uses the word 'that' several times in each sentence. I go over the hardcover text over and over again trying to figure out what 'that' is referring to. Then it appears that the second sentence in the paragraph does have any relation to the first sentence.

He states his opinions what we in the behavioral sciences consider to be a 'World View.' World View's aren't fact.

Finley is very charismatic. I could do without the charisma and would prefer the clarity of Earnest Hemingway or Somerset Maugham.

---------------

I've taught from pre-school to some of the most famous universities.

I think a teacher takes what is complex and makes it comprehensible. BTW, this in not a fact. I'm telling you this up front. It is a world view and not fact. I wish Finley was as honest.

Finley takes a hodgepodge of
1) cognitive psychology
2) Eastern religion
3) Jesus (he attributes to Jesus quoting from the Hebrew Bible, but seems unaware of the original source of the quotes)

Finley adds charisma and poor writing to make it incomprehensible.

Lots of charisma. He might rephrase things in such a way that are meaningful.

But he is not,
- original or
- compressible

A great tease

The reader sounds like a cross between Winnie the Pooh and a Southern Baptist preacher. He tells numerous stories, many of which are solid, to prove a point. The problem is that he states a truth, backs it up with stories, but then leaves the reader on his/her own to find out how to apply the teaching. It seems that this book just repackages universal teachings but never really delivers on anything of lasting substance

I was not impress.

The basic problem with this book is that it is Nothing New.
It would be nice if he presented new ideas. I really was not impress.
