The book flowed very well, and each chapter built on the knowlegde gained from the one before. There were many times I had 'ah-ha' moments during the book. This is a must-read for anyone thinking about getting married a second time (or more). It is very practical and has a realisitic approach to success, and good examples or successes from other couples.
Would recommend this to anyone, even new couples who haven't been married for a different approach to what they can expect in a real marriage.
Yes. The questions are extremely practical, searching and thought-provoking. The answers uncover and unpack the reasons and motives for remarrying.
Ron Deal's, The Successful Stepfamily. Ron explores real-life issues and practical helps to achieve a successful, thriving stepfamily.
Yes and it held my interest in listening because it was narrated by a man and a woman.
Not necessarily. Because the content is deep and engaging, for me it required time to think about and digest.
This book contains great advice on saving your second marriage before it starts.
I first listened to this book alone just to help myself. After listening to all of it I felt I must listen to it with my partner because we have both been maried before. We listened to one chapter at a time and then stopped to talk about it. The book gave us the freedom to talk about our past relationships in a purposeful manner, to understand how we can deal with our children from our previous marriages.
Drive for work and listen all day long. Audible is a God send as it lifts me from traffic and off to an adventure!!
If at audible your reading this please return my credit. Had to read book prior to getting married so I reads it my way. The real Les Parrott & Leslie Parrott are like espresso great public speakers that can deliver. The book has merit. The performance was like two day old pizza, some old Brit guy blathers on like his accent makes him important, no just grating, Sean Connery (Who has a Scottish accent) he ain't!
A very good book with practical advice (for a change) - I keep listening to it over and over again. It is not narrated by the authors and shouldnt be described as such, the narrators are a very tradition male English voice called James Adams and an American sounding female called Laura DeRocha.
