I am very fond of this hypnosis for relieving body pain and anxiety. He has a gentle voice which is very soothing. I used this for weeks in conjunction with mindfulness meditation and it has helped me break through some significant pain. The hypnosis laid a foundation for me to learn to breathe, as well as to enjoy just surfing in my body. Whereas some of the minduflness meditations are quite emotionally cathartic, this one teaches the body to relax in order to be able to more able to deal with tough stuff. I go back to this cd all the time. My only criticism is that I wish the last three meditations were on separate tracks as I can never find them when I want and I dont need all the intro that he provides.
I have 3 hypnosis programs, and this is the only one that completely works every time. It always puts me to sleep, but I always feel better after I use it - stronger, too.

Very relaxing guided meditation; some good information about how to reduce anxiety. Narrator/author has a very soothing voice.
Focused more on teaching self-hynosis techniques and/or helping the listener to induce a hypnotic trance.
The book, which I had hoped would guide me into self-hypnosis, was merely a long-winded lecture on psychological concepts I already knew.
His coverage of psychological topics would work well as an online class or podcast.
Don't waste your money or a credit.
I am familiar with Self Hypnosis and this isn't the one to use. The methodology may work but the method of delivery will annoy you not fix your anxiety. Look elsewhere.
"Has helped me a lot"
I bought this audio to help me prepare for a very stressful event. It's helped me a lot - allowing me to sleep better at night and to be able to calm myself down when I feel myself starting to panic. Steven Gurgevich has a very relaxing voice and having used other self hypnosis CDs before, I can recommend this one wholeheartedly. He does a very good job. You get four different sessions - a long one for general relaxation, a shorter one to visualize how to deal with a stressful event, another shorter one to help you deal with worries and a very short session to help you build the mental connection between a word or action and the feeling of relaxation.
Easy to listen to in an american voice, but if you're like me, hard to get the hypnosis side, it may help you, give it a try.....
