Serious Eye Opener!
Wow, just wow! This book has changed my view on reading forever. I was apprehensive at first but to be honest every single word made so much sense it was like something finally CLICKED in my mind and the world of reading fell into place. The purpose of this book and the message is so clear. I immediately implemented her methods at home and I am astonished at how seamless it was. I read a book to my 7 year old (a difficult book) and then she wanted to read it to me. I let her and I told her all the words she didn’t know to make the story move along and each time she reads it she knows more and more of the difficult words! Like “marvelous!” What a word for a kiddo just learning to read. She read the book over and over with my help and loved every second of it. This book changed my life!

Terrific and quick
I loved listening to Mem Fox tell me everything I need to know about reading aloud! She has such passion that comes across much better in the audio version than the written version. What a treat to hear all the different infections that she speaks about!!
