I would recommend this audiobook because it changed how I viewed myself, which in turned changed how I viewed my world and all of the obstacles that I have faced, and will face.
The contents are based upon common sense principles that we all have heard growing up, but is presented in such a way that you can connect all of the information into a tangible outline for your personal life and situations.
A conversational yet educational tone.
The realization that all of our actions and thought derive from what we believe about ourselves, and that the two go hand in hand and can not be separated.
I found out about this book by reading Dan S. Kennedy's No B.S. Books. I was reluctant to read it because of the books title. I am glad that I did not judge this book by it's cover. Before reading this book, I thought that Dan Kennedy's books had profoundly changed my life, but now I see that Dan was employing the Psycho Cybernetics principles :)
P.S. I never, EVER right reviews, for anything! No matter how much I liked it. So for me to sit down and type this review is a testament to the powerful teachings of this book!!!!!!
This is a great book that i will certainly listen to again and again! I read an earlier version back in 1992 and it improved my game (softball). I can honestly say i was unaware of my potential but after reading Psycho-Cybernectics i was like a new person on and off the field.
I dont remember her name in the book be she overcame many problems physical and mental!
Easy to follow along
i don't remember hearing the term but i do remember the term successive approximations and i could identify with it in this book.
Dan Kennedy kind of steps over the line here, writing from Maltz's point of view, freely wielding the opinion of the long deceased plastic surgeon and self-help guru on matters such as Waterworld and Tiger Woods. Not to mention that the golf metaphors are truly astounding in volume for a book not actually about golf. I don't want to entirely torch the thing--the message is truly a great one--but, I would have preferred the original. Door-to-door salesmen references and all.
I am a self-developing nut case!! :)
I personally like to listen rather than read....
Think and Grow Rich, a lot of the same mindset.
He brings his own feeling and emphasis and passion.
G-mama, recipe hunter, beach lover, piano player, gospel singer, people connector, Girl Scout at heart.
I read this book originally over 30 years ago. I've re-read it many times since. The revised version is even better. It will change your life if you implement the teachings.
The original written version of Psycho-Cybernetics was decades ahead of it's time. The update and revision is well done. This is one of the best and most practically useful self-help books available.
I was educated into oblivion but have overcome it and am having a wonderful life
It's been on my shelf over 20 years. It deserved to be read! Fortunately I was able to listen to it... everywhere.
I am actually beginning to discipline my thoughts and attitudes.
Can hardly wait to listen to it again. Then again. And again. And again.
