I would have someone else read.
The book itself was good. Yes, I would try another book by the author as long as it was read by someone else.
The woman mispronounced words, sounded, in some chapters, as if she had a head cold. Her dramatizations of non-narrative text were laughably melodramatic. The sound editing, too, was awful, like a duct-tape connected Frankenstein. Intonations were completely out of place in countless sections. I could hear the breaks in the editing.
Barely. I would have strongly preferred to read it.
I hope that, immediately after creating this audio book, the lady who read it moved onto a career better suited to her abilities--miming, maybe.
I thoroughly enjoyed being reminded of basic truths about prayer. The book brings to life the practical benefits of prayer for all of us willing to accept it as a legitimate part of the human journey and experience. Prayer is relevant. Prayer is dynamic. Prayer is the foundation of the abundant life, which the human experience was designed to be, and which can be ours with a refocusing of our thoughts, commitments, and our actions. Let's put the principles into action and pray! I have been blessed by this audiobook.
Average effort by the narrator. But this does not detract from the value of the experience.

I loved this book. It was wasn't a struggle to finish, I just listened to it at night.
I learned about prayer and the narration was excellent. Catherine Ponder was a excellent teacher, also.
This book feels like a revelation to me and I have not enough words to express my gratitude for the author of that great work. In my opinion one of the books which should be taught in school; would have be so happy as a school kid. And yes - there are a few glitches concerning the audio, but they are far outweighed by the narrator*s warm, sincere and kind voice. One feels that she loves not only reading but also the content of this masterpiece. I suggest to do some work on the original tape. But again the content is just awesome, I highly recommend this audio! ♥♥♥
I loved the material! Great principles! Great affirmations. I wish Catherine was still doing her own narratives.
