Something by Eric Brown, if it is self-hypnosis.
The excessive & not relaxing music and over done ocean noises. I could have gotten a nature mp3 for that!
I have never asked for a refund before, this is the first. I purchased a book last night on self hypnosis. The publishers description said it was loaded with positive affirmations, and so forth. It is almost entirely a awful music & ocean sounds & where the author is speaking is lost with the awful background music.
Chapter 1 was a few seconds announcing the name of the book. Chapter 2 started out with what seemed like the middle of a his conversation that had been going on for a while. it's like giving someone instructions but not telling them what the instructions are for. I
I need to do more research and find someone of this method that is actually good.
Not based on this experience
I was expecting some subtle poignant/positive spoken word accompanied by music that would really facilitate deep sleep after ...the spoken word was ridiculously repetitive and not at all what i expected ...and the music was not conducive to deep sleep at all....it was bizarre..oddly mixed...just when you might begin to fall into a lovely sleep pattern the tempo would speed up and there would be something slightly jarring..

"shockingly poor and most disappointing"
What little vocabulary there is is mostly repeated followed by repatative music which is repeated and obviously parts missing at the start of each chapter if not then it is obviously very presumptive. I would not recommend this book to anyone
