Common sense knowledge. Not helpful or worthwhile.

This wasn't worth the time spent to find out it wasn't worth the time spent.

Very disappointed...

It took 5 chapters to actually start any real information. Which wouldn’t be a problem if it weren’t already under an hour. The narration is boring & monotone & I don’t feel like I really walked away with anything useful that I didn’t already know.

Great book to start the parenting journey

This book was a great summary of what it means to be a positive parent and some useful information of how exactly to do that. Fun and lighthearted is key. I would further add that it's sometimes our behaviors as parents that can have the biggest impact and the only thing we can really change is ourselves.

Not Great! Not Bad!

I purchased this book over a year ago and am not certain how much I paid for this book, so keep that in mind during this review.

While listening to this book, I did type up one page of notes and did get some information (not new information; more of reminders). I could see myself referencing back to this book every now and again as a reminder, since it is so short. While the book is a very brief, it is also to the point and does offer suggestions.

I am not certain that this is the best book on parenting, but it gives a few useful tips.

The book gives general ideas on the importance of structure and play with your child, not to be over bearing during play time or any other time so long as the child is not in danger. Allow for messes and just simply enjoy being silly. Suggestions for outdoor play time and playful art. The book also expresses importance of allowing your child to be bored.

Communication is a key factor with the children, to include listening to the child; ensuring the child knows he/she is important. Also handling sibling rivalry with open communication and enabling each child to speak and be heard, but not tolerating violence.

Lastly, parents should allow for quite time. The book also offers great ideas on unwinding.

Good book, to the point and not lacking suggestions; however, not great because it is so short.

Good Review of Basic Parenting

Not super in depth but the book is full of good general reminders and practical ways to foster love and learning with your child.

Should have been left in the 80s

Couldn't finish this book, narrating is awful, content is dated and certainly nothing eye opening. If I could return this audiobook I would.

TERRIBLE narration.

Bad narration, vet bad. Didn't finish, sent back. Bland monotone that was painful. Don't do it.

Worst book ever

The "parenting methods" include "take your kid to the forest for a walk" and "play with dough." Thanksssss, I never would have thought of that without buying this are ting book.
