    "Engaging, Informative, EXCELLENT"
What made the experience of listening to Plaintiff 101 the most enjoyable?

The astonishing amount of information contained in this book made listening to it extremely enjoyable. The fact that some my dad had just had a large personal injury lawsuit made this book particularly enjoyable as we surely will use the information here to our success.

I also enjoyed the fact that great memorable quotes were used in the book, quotes like

"If you think you can't use, you are fooling yourself" "It wasn't the break-in that led to Nixon's fall, it was the cover-up"

    Great Book

Have you listened to any of Ted DeMeyer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

My first Ted DeMeyer's book, but if all performances are as great as this, I look forward to listening to his next performance.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Listened to it all in one sitting and I'm going letting it play all over again

    Any additional comments?

Plaintiff 101 is another addition to the exclusive club of universal books that are recommended for EVERYBODY.
You'll never know you'll be involved in a personal injury lawsuit, this book gives an insider's insight into the inner workings of a system very few people know about. Like they said, a war prepared for is 50% won.

    "Informational and intellectually satisfying"

    Three hours well spent!
This book gives you something to look forward to at every next chapter. The authors may just have succeeded in putting together all that a plaintiff must know prior to litigation and this i personally appreciate considering that someone close to me had been involved in similar situation as the first author but we hadn't known better.
Thanks to this book, victims of such accident are now ten step ahead without any exaggeration.

Kudos to Ted for a narrative well-done. He makes you want to give any book a chance.

I recommend this book to all and sundry...

"A Must - Have for any Shelf!"
What did you love best about Plaintiff 101?

There is a myth that all a person who is suffering from a traffic accident injury, has to do is report to the court system and then they are awarded monies due them because of the wrongful damages caused by the defendant. Instead, anti-plaintiff lobbyists and their ilk have pushed for legislation where this possibly leads to a defense bias and then a reduction in the verdicts, and then the victim of the accident end up with not nearly enough to pay for medical bills, resulting from the original accident. This book clarifies and conveys the message of how one woman was able to beat out those who fought against her and succeed!

What about Ted DeMeyer’s performance did you like?

The performance of the voice actor is superb! He has a resonating voice that glides easily over even in the most difficult parts.

    Any additional comments?

This book is wonderful for anyone who has had an injury due to accident or just really good information for anyone to have! Although you should always consult your own lawyer for your own case, there are some excellent suggestions for observations, information and insights that are substantial. Before a major car accident, personal injury lawsuit can seem pretty meaningless to our everyday lives. However, after a major traumatic accident, you could easily lose your career of which training with an undergraduate degree and other graduate degrees or years of experience. Not only that, imagine having to deal with threats from the opposing lawyer saying that you’d have to give up your house or go bankrupt. All of that would definitely leave a mark. Well, the author has lived it and has gone one to tell people how to overcome such adversity with honesty, integrity and maintaining a high moral character.

The pitfalls and behaviors to avoid or behaviors to exude are described from the author’s particular case, in this book. The case was in the courts for four long years! For someone who doesn’t entangle themselves too often with the court system, this book is a “musthave”!

"Motivational Preview on a Litigation Process"
If you could sum up Plaintiff 101 in three words, what would they be?

    Legal system's essentials.

What other book might you compare Plaintiff 101 to and why?

Much like any other successful book, Plaintiff 101 serves the purpose of raising awareness and broadening the limits of a person's perspective, particularly in the case of Plaintiff 101 about the flaws in the litigation process and their aftereffects. While I cannot think of a book that I can draw parallels with, I must note that listening to Plaintiff 101 is a worthwhile experience since you get the opportunity to learn from someone else's catharsis.

Have you listened to any of Ted DeMeyer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't listened to any other performance of Ted DeMeyer, but I definitely will. His narration is understandable and pleasant to the ear, and what really caught my attention is his impeccable control of intonation patterns, as he manages to depict different assets and contexts with it. His voice is also quite attention grabbing.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Definitely, especially since it demonstrates logical thinking and keeps the reader constantly active by imposing different sorts of questions and providing vivid and innovative examples. The content is well organised into balanced chapters, full of useful insights which are depicted through examples and explanations, rather than plain opinions and facts.

    Any additional comments?

I would recommend this book to anyone who wishes to know more about the litigation process, as it's quite educational and rich with meticulously explained, creative examples which are explained step by step, while providing objective preview on the chronically portrayed events. The narration considers different aspects of the plaintiff's background and demonstrated critical thinking, especially by contrasting money and time on one, and integrity, character, and prosperity, on the other hand.

    "So Informative!"
What made the experience of listening to Plaintiff 101 the most enjoyable?

As someone who has been involved in a significant personal injury lawsuit (settlement of >$100K), I can say the information presented in this book is highly worthwhile. I would definitely take the advice of Plaintiff 101 if I again found myself engaged as a plaintiff.

What did you like best about this story?

Plaintiff 101 combines useful "how-to" with interesting anecdotes to create an engaging learning environment for the listener. It was also helpful to more fully understand injury lawsuits from the defendant's perspective.

    Any additional comments?

Highly recommended for anyone considering a personal injury suit. Listen to this before you head down that road.

    "Incredibly Easy to Understand"
    Any additional comments?

Plaintiff 101 is a must read for anyone entering into a personal injury case. The book follows every aspect of the author's own personal case after suffering injuries in a severe car accident. The story told throughout the book helps keep it interesting, while the lists of facts to take away makes it easy to follow and learn from. Injuries can happen to anyone, and it is important to understand the correct procedure to follow in case you are ever in that situation.

Karen, one of the authors, takes time to focus on the grey area. Even if you know that you are the victim of another persons careless actions, you can expect to be treated as the culprit. I, like Karen and many others, grew up thinking that you are in the right or in the wrong. In cases like this though, there is no black or white answer, but a wide array of grey answers in between.

Ted DeMeyer did an awesome job narrating this book as well. He spoke at a nice speed that allowed time for me to process the new and important information that was offered on this book. He also kept the material engaging, which was nice for someone like me who can easily be distracted.

Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone. It helps the listener gain a deeper understanding of a process that most people know very little about. I could not recommend this book enough!

"This is a must have to a injured plaintiff"
Would you consider the audio edition of Plaintiff 101 to be better than the print version?

The audio book It takes you quickly through the chapters giving perception that is only a narrated story for you

Who was your favorite character and why?

It is not a story of characters but the legal and professional way is narrated, Karen experience is very revealing

Have you listened to any of Ted DeMeyer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    I'm not

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It teach me a lot in how it should be preparing for a plaintiff and guides you through the entire process in similar cases

    Any additional comments?

For a person who had to look up the meaning of "plaintiff " to clarify the terminology, the book was very understandable in legal terms. It was amazing to me the how insurance companies handle such cases supporting the defense and investing on it

"Plaintiff 101 is a MUST read!"
What did you love best about Plaintiff 101?

I love that Plaintiff 101 was thorough and practical in explaining to personal injury victims, in a step by step manner, the litigation process. Invaluable information was presented not only from the point of view of an attorney(Michael) but also from the personal experience of a plaintiff (Karen).

Who was your favorite character and why?

While there wasn't a character per se, the personal story of Karen Mertes was woven into this insightful guide, which I appreciated greatly. First hand information can be very useful in establishing reliability.

What about Ted DeMeyer’s performance did you like?

Ted DeMeyer was a wonderful narrator. He went at a pace that was efficient, while he presented the material in a clear and expressive manner.

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

I think there were many crucial bits of information throughout the book. Dispelling the myth that when a personal injury claim is filed, you simply sue and recover money for damages is key. The process is complex, and long, and the plaintiff cannot afford errors. Communication between attorney and plaintiff is crucial for success.

    Any additional comments?

This book is an excellent guide for anyone considering litigation. It's a case study wrapped in a depth of information about the legal process, the dos and donts, and how to make the journey less stressful.

"Useful legal information for the average person"
What did you love best about Plaintiff 101?

You certainly don't need to be an expert in law to understand the practical steps presented to ensuring you do everything you can to be successful when you need to bring forth a lawsuit.

What did you like best about this story?

The author, while not a legal expert, was able to accurately convey her own experience and why she felt compelled to share this guide with others.

What aspect of Ted DeMeyer’s performance would you have changed?

There were parts that were rather emotional when discussing a scene that was life changing for the author but the tone did not convey it. For the overall, informative tone of the book, his performance was accurate. However, also being that the author is female, I may have preferred a female narrator as I think woman in general are rather underrepresented as authority figures.

What did you learn from Plaintiff 101 that you would use in your daily life?

There are definitely things i wouldn't have considered (such as doctor interactions and conversations to be limited around litigation) for the future if I ever need to bring such a case.

    "Easy-to-follow and insightful"

Plaintiff 101, in my opinion, is a crucial resource for those who are not familiar with litigation, and especially those who believe the process is clear-cut. Karen tells about her experience with her personal injury claim after being hit by a drunk driver.

The book contains unique dialogue due to the fact the audience is provided with insight from an attorney (Karen’s husband!), and not just from the plaintiff (Karen), which means it is not one-sided advice.

The audiobook kept me engaged, a rarity considering the topic. However, it is imperative to know how to go about a personal injury claim, and I feel that I have been adequately prepared to do so. I survived a nearly fatal car wreck two weeks ago and, even though I walked away without a scratch, I thought about the “what-if’s?”, and knew that I should be knowledgeable in this subject.

I 100% reccomend this book because a serious injury is a circumstance that can occur to anyone. Like most people, they do not understand the litigation process which can harm their chances of winning their claim. This book is a step-by-step, how-to guide that is valuable to all.

Please, take the time to educate yourselves. No one is exempt from tragedy.
