"GREAT book that delivers it's title"
Would you consider the audio edition of People Can't Drive You Crazy If You Don't Give Them the Keys to be better than the print version?

Most definately as the author is reading it in a very interesting way

What was one of the most memorable moments of People Can't Drive You Crazy If You Don't Give Them the Keys?

The moments he was making his suggestions in point format then expanding each point in details. Also all his stories were relevant to the topic and presented in a very interesting way.

What does Mike Bechtle bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The tone of his voice is clearly delivering the points he wrote. I belive this book would have never been as enjoyable if someone else was doing the reading.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

YES, so many times I felt moved by the book and the points he made. In particular I was touched by his statement "do not be the victim of other people's weakness"

    Any additional comments?

I so much loved and enjoyed the book that I will buy his book "Confident Conversations" in an audio format too.

    "Riddles With Religious Overtones"
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Sadly, before purchasing this book, I only read the synopsis and the first few reviews. Had I done my homework and read more of the reviews, I would have seen the one that pointed out that this book has a strong religious component to it.

Had I seen that, I would have saved my money.

The author's reading is done well (hence the 3 stars for performance), however the content and it's emphasis on God, the Bible and matters of Faith were not for me.

Has People Can't Drive You Crazy If You Don't Give Them the Keys turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, however I will be more careful to read ALL of the reviews before purchasing next time.

What three words best describe Mike Bechtle’s voice?

    Personable, clear, emotive

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from People Can't Drive You Crazy If You Don't Give Them the Keys?

The subtle yet ever present proselytizing.

"I have learned that we are all a little crazy and that is okay"

this book has greatly helped me to understand that we are all a little crazy and when we think that somebody else is driving us knotty we need to remember that we also may be driving other people nutty as well. But what I got from this book overall is that the methods that Mike uses has been able to help me already over these past few weeks. I amiable to see situations very differently and I am very grateful for all that I have learned. This will be an excellent tool for somebody who generally is very positive but who lives around crazy people or who works with them. I was also able to learn a lot about myself as well and where it is that I fall short. I do not expect this extra gift from the book but I certainly got it. I am very grateful.

    "common sense and bible verses"

I believe most of the people reading this review have most of the knowledge contained in this book. The author admits his book is common sense at the end. I am not sure his purpose of writing this book.

"Full of religious quotes and non-relevant stories"

This audio book was highly suggested by a friend who said "I must listen to it" I was very disappointed in the content.
The religious overtones were excessive and the stories and quotes that were in the book were barely relevant to how to prevent people from driving you crazy.
He also kept numbering things like "17 steps" for this "5 steps" for that. The whole book just reminded me of a motivational speaker throwing out anecdotes and quotes and stating the obvious in hopes that something sticks.

    "Rigorous overtones."
What would have made People Can't Drive You Crazy If You Don't Give Them the Keys better?

It was mostly anecdotal without any significant research from any source really other than the bible. The approach and tone seemed antiquated. This book was more sermon like than prescriptive. Only purchase this book if you are comfortable with a multitude of biblical references and a prosaic of someone describing their own personal life and how they dealt with 'crazy' in their personal situations.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Narrator was fine. Content was lacking.

Not only excellent advice, but practical and doable. Some of the suggestions I do, but he gave others that I will be putting into practice.

    "Some useful tips"
If you could sum up People Can't Drive You Crazy If You Don't Give Them the Keys in three words, what would they be?

I enjoyed this book and there was some useful life advice in it. Its about the right length for this type of book as you can get a bit overloaded with do's and don'ts. He makes lots of analogies which I quite like but if you don't i suspect they'd get a bit annoying.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

The narration was pretty good but then its his own book so it should be. If I had to be critical then the religious references got on my nerves as non believer I felt it lost some credibility there, also the term "crazy people" was used excessively. I got sick of it.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    Overall - worth a listen.
