Learning new ways I had never thought of to stay organized. I think I am an organization guru, but this book proved me to be wrong. There were some suggestions that I already knew, but many more that I didn't even think of.
All the tips on organizing your home, office, digital life and even relationships. There wasn't much about the book I didn't like. I especially appreciated the part about emails and how to divide them in folders and the part about using tags to organize was brilliant.
I think Joshua Mackey always does an excellent job of keeping the listener's interest. He makes even the most boring subject sound interesting.
No extreme reactions, just those head thumping, Why didn't I think of that?" responses to some of the things I read.
Even the most disorganized person can get a good idea on how to organize their life with this book. This book goes from changing your sheets and dusting, to organizing your pantry and cupboards in the kitchen, all the way to organizing your digital footprint and your relationships. It is a worth while purchase for the person that can't organize to the person that thinks they know everything about organization.
In fact, it helps to have the book playing in the background while you finally organize yourself.
Many therapists and psychiatrists say that the way you keep your environment is a reflection of your inner world. If this is true, then what does being disorganized say about the way your mind works?
When you think about disorganization that way, there's more of a reason to fix it. Resources like this book will give you hints, tips, and strategies that can help you fix your organization skills.
Organizing your outside is the second step to fixing your inside, and buying this book is the first step.
Yes, actually, I plan to listen several times, to pick up useful tips that meet the need of the moment. Different organization needs surface at different times, so I find it good to be able to re-read (or, in this case, re-listen) to find ideas to apply to my current situation.
the author's positive, no-nonsense voice (in addition to the performer's literal voice) presents an inviting character. As a non-fiction work, I suppose the subject would be the main character. Organization is presented in every possible light, in such a way that makes it achievable and even desirable!
Again, because this is a non-fiction book, the author's voice and the subject - organization - are the primary characters. Although the third character of myself, the reader, is always just off-camera, I always like it when I'm included; the author addresses me frequently and always with practical, positive suggestions. Mackey "performs" each character with flawless clarity.
I particularly liked the section on organizing my digital world. This is something I need, but find myself putting it off. In addition, the author's strong positive endorsement of Microsoft One Note has raised my awareness and piqued my curiosity just enough to check into the application.
tHANnks for making me a FIGHTER!
So Many ideas to keep your self organized. It seems so obvious, but it only occurs to us when we hear it from others. At least we know what has worked for others. Many great resources too.
I've always been a disorganized person. My desk has always been overflowing with clutter as has my house and most days, my mind. This book has been extremely helpful in teaching me how to better organize all aspects of my life. I've become less stressed and much happier simply by organizing my home and life. It's amazing what you have time for when you have an organized schedule and a home (or desk). With the pressure of today's world, organization is the only way to get things done and this book has helped me do that. The tips are simple but life changing. I especially enjoyed the parts about organizing the home and embracing the concept of minimalism. I highly recommend this book.
Neatness and organization are easy to achieve- but impossible to keep! It seems that no matter how hard I try, I simply cannot keep the house organized for longer than a couple of days or weeks, and as soon as I begin working in the office, all of the organized things slowly unorganize themselves. Also, my technological organization could use a lot of work, and thankfully this ebook goes through explicit detail on how to do so. This book was a must have for me this season! There are endless tips for organizing your life in every aspect. It is so informative, and all of the strategies are so efficient.
From work files and photos online, to home projects and tasks, to budgeting, and so much more! I recommend the download-- very useful information!
This book will keep you organized from appointments, to kids, to your entire home and everyday life. It was a great book to listen to and I felt it had a lot of key features for me personally. I think I may be able to use a lot of it in my work field as well. Buy it today and get organized!
I was very pleased with this audio. The narrator has a very pleasant voice and it is jam packed full of great organizing ideas. I especially liked the sections on organizing your schedule and organizing your digital life. Even if you think you are organizing, it is almost guaranteed this book will teach you some new tricks! Highly recommended!
I think Joshua Mackey reads the book very well. He really gets you interested and keeps your attention all the way through. I never felt bored or confused listening to this book. Joshua Mackey kept it exciting and relayed the great information perfectly.
Ace has another informative book called Habit, The Top 100 Best Habits and I think this book goes along great with Organization as you form habits that will help keep your life clean and organized.
This book covers everything from organizing your relationship to organization idea that help you save time and money. The part I found most interesting was the Chapter on How to Clear Your Mind and Embrace Your Inner Happiness.
This book has really motivated me to get up and start using the tools and tips I learned to live a more stress-free and happy life.
Great book! I recommend to all!
I believe listening to Organization at home made it more enjoyable. I was able to relax and focus while also taking notes so I could put what was being said to my life.
I would compare Organization to One Year to an Organized Life by Regina Leeds. Both books talk about how life can become chaotic without it being organized, and lists ways on organizing everything in your life.
No, I did not. I did, however, become extremely focused during the entire performance of the book.
Ace McCloud knows what he is talking about in all of his self-help books. He is the sultan of self-help and this book goes above and beyond helping people get organized. A must have book for those with lives that are chaotic and in need of help. You will not be disappointed by this A plus book!
"has some good ideas and helpful suggestions."
top three maybe
ADD-friendly ways to organize your life by Judith Kolberg, Kathleen G. Nadeau coz the ideals are almost the same
Yes coz it was short and convenient
This book has some good ideas and helpful suggestions. The authors clearly understand their subject matter. That's why I rate this high
"Great, even for the mostly organized!"
I like to think of myself as a mostly organized person. But the principles set out by Mackey in this book simplify everything and really help if you feel stuck in any situation where you may need even more - or better quality - organization skills. I really feel like this has helped me out of my organizational rut!
"Taking organization to another level!"
I listened to Organization twice over a couple of days because it is simply brimming with excellent ideas to organize every aspect of your life, and I didn't want to miss anything. But don't be fooled into thinking this is a book about buying the right storage and tidying things away! Not at all... Ace McCloud has a nack for exploring a subject in a really expansive manner, and Organization is no exception.
This wonderful audiobook covers everything from organizing your home to organizing your mind, and then strolls off for a walk through organizing your online life, your time, your relationships and your finances. It's amazing how much material is covered in an hour and pretty much all of it pertinent and helpful.
I particularly liked the idea of having a "launch pad" in your home (or office); a place (eg a basket) where you put all the things you use all the time, so that you always know where they are and save time in looking for them. I also enjoyed Joshua's clear and enthusiastic narration which made it easy and enjoyable listening.
If you want help knowing where to start in developing organization super powers, look no further. This is definitely the book you need.
"Become a master at organization!"
I've bought this audio-book because after a series of big life changes (change of job, moving in with partner) I'd been feeling more and more disorganized and out of control. After listening to Organization I have started putting in place some of the helpful advice offered and my home now feels much more organized, and a more peaceful environment to be in. The audio-book also teaches how to get your virtual life in order, which will be really useful now that everyone has at least two or three computer like devices, as well as strategies to help keep your mind focused. The section on budgeting provided great tips on how to gain better control of finances. Highly recommended to anyone seeking simple advice on how to lead a more organized, and therefore less stressful, life.
"Guide to Organization"
This guide to organization was one that was a very enjoyable listening experience, mainly for the copious amounts of tips it includes which cover so many areas. I bought the book mainly for strategies for being more organized at home but picked up so many tools to use in other areas of my life.
For me, the part that focused on being organized at home and the benefits it brings was the best part. It takes you around the house and explains how being organized in each area can help you. It was very impressive.
The narrator was excellent, he was engaging throughout this book and did a great job.
Another great moment in the book was the section on organizing a budget and how it explained the 50-30-20 rule. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to be more organized in life.
"The key to organisation"
A nice short guide with some simple and helpful ways to get organised and to be more efficient. I love it when I learn a new life hack that helps me in everyday life and I picked up a couple within this guide. I would consider myself to be a very organised person, but even I learnt a few things.
""Organization" - be ready for a big change!"
“Organization” by Ace McCloud is a very valuable audiobook, full of practical advices and tips how to organize your home, digital life, diet and life style. "Organization" helps me to refresh, tidy up and organize my home and digital life. First of all, my bedroom needs some refreshing, I need some new bed and wardrobe where I can keep all sheets, pillow cases and duvet set. I didn’t know that I have to dust it weekly to stay away from germs. Also good clue is to make new curtains and nice music, so try to install some CD player with my favourite music. My nest target is bathroom – where my shower and bath need general cleaning, as well as my kitchen tiles and floor. Great tips are to keep more containers inside your fridge and shopping more wisely.
I love Joshua Mackay's performance that helps me to preoccupied with most of the task during the presentation.
McCloud is not only focus on practical household things but also your relationships, but after preparing your house it will be far much easier to invite family and friend. I like the advice about what influence have flaky friend, so if you have one or couple like that they still be your friend but you need to say them stop put your down. It is not easy but necessary.
“Organization” is a very wise and practical audiobook that helps you stay motivated and focus on your everyday tasks. I love this book and can recommend it to everybody.
"Great Organization Tips!"
I've always been really disorganized and it was starting to become a real problem so I thought I'd check out this book. It provided me with so many great tips that are really easy to implement into your every day life!
The advice is simple but clever so it's really easy to see a change! I would definitely recommend this to anyone, it's really improved my organization and given me so much more free time!
"How to Organize Your Life!"
Firstly, I loved Organization because it was such an enjoyable listening experience.
It's clear and the advice is well-set out and easy to understand. But what was really great was that the advice contained in the audiobook is applicable to so many areas of my life. Not only is it great for work, but also my personal life, my interests and even my relationships!
The most memorable part of Organization is just the huge number of tips that are included. So many, that I expected to forget a lot of them. But I think the way the audiobook explains them, giving concrete examples, means that they really stuck in my head.
As ever, Joshua Mackey brings an infectious enthusiasm to the topic and his belief in the book really transferred itself to me. After listening I felt sure I too would be able to implement the changes in my life needed to be more organised.
While listening to this book I began to realise that, more than anything, being organised is a mind-set and a way of doing things. The great thing is, that once you adopt this mind-set you suddenly feel much more confident and happy.
This book made me see that being better organized really is the gateway to having a more productive life and feeling better about yourself.
There would need to be far more detailed concrete advice.Advice given was very general and common sense ...and I really don't need to be told that if I change my sheets once a week it will make me feel better!
Depends on the content .
It might be helpful to somebody starting from scratch but even then they might well find it just full of information they knew anyway! Or for someone who wanted a light hearted listen.
I bought this rather than use a credit on a low money purchase but I will still return it .
