Oola is not your typical self-help book. Oola is a "state of awesomeness." It's when your life is balanced and growing in the seven key areas of life (fitness, finance, family, field, faith, friends, and fun).
Oola is more like a collection of kick-butt anecdotes and sincere stories that just happen to have meaningful messages.
Co-authors Dave Braun (The OolaSeeker) and Troy Amdahl (The OolaGuru) have been there and done that.

Sorry but not for me. It would need to be a completely different book.
I wasn't really expecting much but the reviews were good so I gave a go. Only a few minutes in I relaised this was a "cash cow" type philosophy that I can certainly do without. The authors explain some of their personal failures and triumphs but there's really nothing of substance to be discovred here. You've heard similar stories before. The writing, the narration and overall content did not tick any boxes for me. I even found contradicting messages within. Honestly, I think you can do much better and look for content that has some empirical foundations. Two guys talking about their lives really didn't sound amazing. I am actually surprised that the reviews are so positive.
It sounds like it was recorded in a small room and so the audio quality is not on par. Also, the authors are not ideal narrators.I got the feeling that they were quite unfamiliar with the content, as it didn't seem to flow naturally. I will be getting a refund. Can't even finish this as it makes me cringe. It's a couple of enthusiastic Americans selling you thier story - and now they also sell essential oils I believe. Give it a miss. Also, to the non-religious out there, this book should come with a disclaimer that it has religious overtones throughout.
