Publisher's summary

“Napoleon Hill was one of America’s great, influential thinkers who continues to have an enormous impact today.” - Steve Forbes, editor-in-chief of Forbes magazine

Bestselling author Napoleon Hill reveals the seven principles of good that allow us to triumph over obstacles...and find success.

Using his legendary ability to get to the root of human potential, Napoleon Hill digs deep to reveal how fear, procrastination, anger, and jealousy prevent us from realizing our personal goals. This long-suppressed parable, once considered too controversial to publish, was written by Hill in 1938 following the publication of his classic bestseller, Think and Grow Rich. Annotated and edited for a contemporary audience by Rich Dad, Poor Dad and Three Feet from Gold coauthor Sharon Lechter, this book is profound, powerful, resonant, and rich with insight.

Critic reviews

"My simple faith is this: If we are created in God’s image, then we were born to create, and to create is to prosper. [This] previously unpublished Napoleon Hill manuscript.... I’ve read it and recommend it." (Rich Karlgaard, Publisher of Forbes magazine)

Beautiful concept, wonderful writing

I love the over all context of this writing. I have to admit my eyes rolled into the back of my head in the beginning. I was bored. Same story different book. However I was pleasantly surprised and so glad I toughed it out as the book finished wonderfully strong and can easily be seen as an asset to your knowledge. I have to admit there were a few instances I questioned the validity that this is an actual writing of Hill. Though he was very knowledgeable and forward thinking for his time....obesity was not a problem until the 60s or 70s. Schools were not funded by test scores until later as well. many of the devils ideals and thoughts were not that of someone in 1938 but rather someone near 2011 when the book was released. Overall, a great listen, but not based solely on it being an account of Napolean Hill.

Story was great a refreshing reminder

Reminds me of a chapter in proverbs where the verse said A little sleep, a little slumber,
a little folding of the hands to rest—
11and poverty will come on you like a thief
and scarcity like an armed man.
