Calming and educational

I felt like I learned so much listening to this. I practiced by sitting quietly through each section, about twenty minutes a night, listening to what she said then following her guided meditations (each one ending with a chime).

Such a great instructional book

This book is teaching me to meditate and that is amazing to me. I love her voice and her methods.

I NEED THIS

I keep coming back to this to bring my mind and heart back to structure and practice. Without this I am bumbling in the wilderness of life. This brings me back to what really matters and my heart and head are now open to give and receive in love and appreciation.

mindfulness a blessing

Tara's calm voice and lovingkindness helped me be more mindful of my own needs, joys, sorrows, and those of others. Learning mindfulness has enriched my life. Tara is skillful in leading meditation.

Peaceful

I love her voice as it's very soothing. The only part that I didn't like are the bells as for me the sound is jarring, otherwise the guidance is exceptional.

Soothing to sleep then…..GONG!!!

I turned to this meditation to help me sleep since I’ve been dealing with severe insomnia for the first time in my life. The narrator’s voice is serenely soothing. I’ve not had a night with inability to fall asleep since I started listening. It takes you off into a wonderful calming state of being. Relaxed, calm, to dozing, quickly floating off to a wonderful sleep state and then……….GONG!!!!! Between every single chapter. The first listen I had dozed quickly and it was a very peaceful beginning to sleeping and then the GONG woke me up into an ungodly startled state. (as I type that the audio just gonged and immediately my heart started racing. It’s really ‘that’ bad so if you do have anxiety and/or any heart health issues, I highly recommend not going with this)

I personally feel that, for sleep and for wakeful meditation, the chime after every chapter is jarring and totally unnecessary. If not for the sudden church bell sound, this would have been near perfect.

It doesn’t look like it geared for someone intent is to fall asleep, but I still wouldn’t want that happening. I’ll definitely seek out more from this author/narrator. I would definitely recommend for anyone who can deal with that jarring issue, but if you’re trying to sleep with a soothing meditation I recommend trying something else.

I would recommend this to a friend because it is relaxing and the author helps me reach my goal to learn to be more relaxed when mediating.
