Constructed around a series of late night conversations around a camp fire between Cheryl Simone and Sadhguru Vasudev on an Island in the middle of a Western North Carolina lake near her mountain home, Midnights with the Mystic is the most thorough exposition of the teachings of India's most sought after mystic.
Sadhguru challenges us to embrace the possibility that to each of us is available a higher realm of reality, a peak of consciousness; an entre into the realm of freedom and bliss. Concrete and down-to-earth, Midnights with the Mystic both provides listeners with an introduction to profound spiritual teaching and a personal glimpse of a charismatic guru.

"With the elegance of simplicity, this audio book takes you on an exploration of consciousness, that will shift you to a higher reality." (Deepak Chopra)
"Extraordinary wisdom, the insight and clarity of logic, the language of a poet. If you listen to this powerful audio book, you will discover who you really are, who we all are." (Neale Donald Walsch, author of Conversations with God)
Sadhguru's advice and his perception is just too good. He sees the world and the life around him from a completely different point of view, which is refreshing and in many ways eye opening.
I agree that the book is written by Cheryl, but she gets in the way too much between the listener and Sadhguru. A simple question answer approach would've been perfect.
I also understand that the experience that Cheryl had with Sadhguru changed her life (good for her), but the reader/listener doesn't need the details, which were not really important to the subject at hand.
Just my opinion
Maybe. Anytime Sadhguru was speaking, I was in rapt attention. Cheryl Simone really got on my nerves. I experienced her as a needy new age groupie and her quest for enlightenment was one annoying cliche after the another.
Listening to this, I enjoyed it very much. It is designed different than most books, for she speaks and tells the story and opens the story as it is happening all at the same time. It is kind of entertaining but full of wisdom and a step for self growth and knowledge. Great Listen
Being an atheist (no more I think ... but on my journey through mysticism).. never thought I would enjoy these talks so much. The content, narration and soothing voices.. just loved everything.. begin to end!! This definitely opened a new dimension to my existence!
"Wow. What a great book."
Excellent audio book, real eye opener to the world. I really hope sadhguru is able to produce more books like this, it's everything you're looking for.
