Publisher's summary

Edited by Dr. Michael Newton, the best-selling author of Journey of Souls and Destiny of Souls, Memories of the Afterlife is a collection of fascinating true accounts from around the world, handpicked and presented by life-between-lives hypnotherapists certified by the Newton Institute.

After recalling memories of their afterlife, the people in these studies embarked on life-changing spiritual journeys - reuniting with soul mates and spirit guides, and discovering the ramifications of life and body choices, love relationships, and dreams by communing with their immortal souls. As gems of self-knowledge are revealed, dramatic epiphanies result, enabling these ordinary people to understand adversity in their lives, find emotional healing, realize their true purpose, and forever enrich their lives with new meaning.

Great info Poor Reading

If you could sum up Memories of the Afterlife in three words, what would they be?

I did not like the way they narrated the book. With two readings and needing to narrate a dilogue why not use one reader for each part. Also they drop their voice so low you can't hear it in a car. Portraying emotions is well and good, but pointless if I can't hear it.

Good content, poor narration

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend the paperback as I didn't like the way the female narrator read her part. Her tone wasn't always consistent with what was happening during the LBL sessions--such as when a client was recalling a past life trauma. I found this irritating and distracting as it didn't seem like she was genuinely into it. I enjoyed this book when I read it but was disappointed with this audio version.

Awesome book

Books of this nature have always fascinated me and someday soon I will have my own LBL. I haven't the faintest idea when soon will be, but it will the right time whenever it happens.

Great read!

Great read! Narration was good as well. I liked the alternation between female and male representing the facilitators.
if your on a spiritual journey, this is a good book to add to your collection, as any of Dr. Newton's books would.

very interesting stories from clients

This book has stories from clients of several different hypnosis therapies, doing LBL sessions.
It is very informative and would be comforting to anyone dealing with a loss of a loved one.

Unsure

I really didn't understand the previous reviewer grievances with the female narrator. I happened to really enjoy it. This is the 4th book now of this author I have listened to. I feel like I just studied an important activity.

Can't get past narration/audio quality

Agree with other reviewers - the narration/audio quality is so bad I couldn't continue listening. I had to turn up the volume full blast to hear the whispered parts then when the narrator returned to regular volume it blew my eardrums. I'm just going to purchase the Kindle edition and read it
I like these books, the topic and how it's presented however if you can't get past the audio/narration then it does no good to purchase the Audible edition
Very frustrating
