Publisher's summary

Loving yourself is all about energy. As humans we devote a great deal of our energy through our time, thoughts and emotions to love. We read about it, watch movies and shows about it, dream about it, hope for it to bless our lives, feel like something critically important is lacking when it doesn't, and at the very least keep a sharp eye out for it when its missing.

Too often we look to someone else to fulfill our love and crash and burn when relationships end, or fail to live up to our fantasies of what we thought they should be. When we seek love from another person or source greater than the love we give to ourselves, we set ourselves up to an inevitable hard landing when the other person or source ceases to provide the level of fulfillment we desire.

Loving yourself is a precious gift from you to you. It is an incredibly powerful energy that not only enhances your ability to give love more fully to others, it also creates a positive energy of expanding reverberation that brings more love, friendship and appreciation to you from all directions. It is the inner light that illuminates your life empowering you to create the kind of life you desire and dream.

The importance of loving yourself!

What did you love best about Love Yourself?

That is short, sweet, and to the point. (: It's not long winded, but the message gets across and it is a great, inspiring, and thought provoking audio book!

What about John Eastman’s performance did you like?

His voice was pretty comforting! Deep, soothing voice that wasn't harsh to listen to at all.

What insight do you think you’ll apply from Love Yourself?

To truly love myself. I never really thought it was important to tell myself "I love you". I've always been confident, but I've never really said that to myself. Never felt the need to. After listening, however, I have a brand new perspective on what it is to truly love yourself and how important it is.

Any additional comments?

I definitely recommend this awesome, short audio book to anyone looking to be uplifted and feel inspired. You can really make a difference in your life, and go a step towards self acceptance and self love!

Non-fiction book, so its not about a scene. The instruction was geared toward a self awareness and integration of self-love

Very positive words

Greats reasons and reminders on why it's important to love yourself. It's not selfish to take care of yourself and this is a great reminder of that

Generically Inspiring, Mostly not Helpful

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The 'reasons to love yourself' aren't really reasons at all. It's more that he's telling you to do generally positive things that are good things to do, but in a list format are hardly helpful. I feel like the title of this book is a little misleading.

What was most disappointing about Embrosewyn Tazkuvel’s story?

It's just not helpful to list things like this. "Love yourself enough to find the good in everything." That is a really nice thought and yes, we should. But it's not exactly a reason to love yourself. I was looking for more of a "how to' book. We hear we should love ourselves all the time, but how to accomplish this is really tough. This book is not helpful.

Would you be willing to try another one of John Eastman’s performances?

No way. His delivery is canned and corny. It sounds like he was a radio or sports announcer who is now doing audio books and it was hard to listen to.

Same story

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Loving yourself is good, if you didn't know that you wouldn't be looking at this book. You already know everything that is written in the book.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I like the idea of teaching people that love begins with the self but there is nothing new here.

Couldn't finish it

What would have made Love Yourself better?

Found the book way too superficial, really sounded like Pollyana talk.

Would you ever listen to anything by Embrosewyn Tazkuvel again?

No

What didn’t you like about John Eastman’s performance?

He narrated like he was in a TV commercial, not compatible with the book's content, really disonant
