Loving yourself is all about energy. As humans we devote a great deal of our energy through our time, thoughts and emotions to love. We read about it, watch movies and shows about it, dream about it, hope for it to bless our lives, feel like something critically important is lacking when it doesn't, and at the very least keep a sharp eye out for it when its missing.
Too often we look to someone else to fulfill our love and crash and burn when relationships end, or fail to live up to our fantasies of what we thought they should be. When we seek love from another person or source greater than the love we give to ourselves, we set ourselves up to an inevitable hard landing when the other person or source ceases to provide the level of fulfillment we desire.
Loving yourself is a precious gift from you to you. It is an incredibly powerful energy that not only enhances your ability to give love more fully to others, it also creates a positive energy of expanding reverberation that brings more love, friendship and appreciation to you from all directions. It is the inner light that illuminates your life empowering you to create the kind of life you desire and dream.

This question is not applicable as I only listened to the audio.
It captured my interest as a whole, although the first 17 minutes was the most powerful. In part of that, the narrator was speaking about a project they did. He said only 1/3 of the people could look themselves in the mirror and in a sincere and grateful way, say "I Love You." Sadly, I'm in that 2/3 group that feels very uncomfortable doing that. In those 17 minutes he really drove home the message of why it's important to love yourself, and how a lack of love for yourself can influence your entire life. When I was growing up I used to hear that a lot. "You gotta love yourself!" That always seemed so vague. I've always been critical of myself. Just telling someone they should love themself doesn't always help. How do you love yourself? This was a great audio because it explains how. It's following the exercise given and listening on a regular basis to the 88 reasons in the latter part of the recording. That's why I gave this review the title of Blueprint to a Happy and Satsfying Life. It did seem like a blueprint where you could start off small and expand it out into your whole life.
His voice is calming and clear, nothing distracting.
The narrator talking about creating a groove, replacing a bad habit - with a love yourself habit.
The latter part of the audio lists 88 reasons to Love Yourself and each one is beautiful. This is one that for whatever reaon I really latched onto - I had to reverse the audio and replay it so I won't forget, "Love yourself enough to be gently quiet that you may hear the wisdom of others, see the beauty that surrounds you, and have time to reflect upon the gems of your journey."
Thought provoking, motivational, inspirational
You wont find love in others if you can't find it in yourself
I have never listened to an audiobook before but he narrator was good and I would listen to another that he narrated.
it vaidated what I already believed.
I feel to many people look for love and self worth in the eyes of others. How can they give you what you can not give yourself? This book takes a step by step approach to showing you how to make a difference in your life, how to love yourself before you can love others.
I absolutely would recommend this book to a friend or anyone! It hit me so profoundly and was so beautiful, so true, everyone owes it to themselves to listen to this book at least once!
The calming, peaceful, uplifting information that made so much sense. Relayed in a way that had me shaking my head in agreement throughout the presentation and filling my eyes with tears when I realized how true it all really is and how badly I need to follow the advice in this book. I deserve love from myself and those in my life! It just truly hit home for me and I believe it will for everyone who takes the time to read it!
John Eastman has a soothing voice, a clear voice that really grabs your attention, however, I felt it could be a little less robotic in presentation.
You Can't Shine Until You Love Yourself! or Love Yourself and Illuminate the Darkness Around You!
I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this book but the 88 Reasons to love yourself were just outstanding! I found myself replaying and replaying so many of these reasons just to get them to really sink in and to force myself to absorb this information that called out to my heart! I needed this and am so grateful to have had the opportunity to acquire this book!
Yes I would, it is not easy finding your way to a new life but here we have the key to its start.
Its a truth we already know but need to be told before we truly understand it, and this is a book you need to listen to over and over till you know. Change is never easy but this book makes you understand how change can occur and rarely does it happen after one listen or one event but a will to create that change can be built from a repeated listen of this book.
I haven't listened to any previous performances but enjoyed the nature of his voice
We are all responsible, true change is within us all and we need to create the motivation for that, else we are not true to ourselves.
A really delightful insight into the human psyche
That is short, sweet, and to the point. (: It's not long winded, but the message gets across and it is a great, inspiring, and thought provoking audio book!
His voice was pretty comforting! Deep, soothing voice that wasn't harsh to listen to at all.
To truly love myself. I never really thought it was important to tell myself "I love you". I've always been confident, but I've never really said that to myself. Never felt the need to. After listening, however, I have a brand new perspective on what it is to truly love yourself and how important it is.
I definitely recommend this awesome, short audio book to anyone looking to be uplifted and feel inspired. You can really make a difference in your life, and go a step towards self acceptance and self love!
This is a wonderful, timeless short inspirational book. It teaches becoming a better you; being a better person by loving yourself. It emphasizes on improving oneself and gives us motivation to be daring to be who we want to be. It goes to great details on how self-esteem plays a role and steps and tips on improving your confidence. Practicing these tips comes with guaranteed life changing results. I loved and enjoyed this book. I have to say it truly transforming. Highly commendable work from the author.
listening to the book separate the "feel good" statements we're told to tell ourselves, and brought self-love back around to a visualization process. Self-affirming statements are fine, but fleeting. We must learn how to visualize loving ourselves.
My a-Ha moment was when the narrator talked about visualizing tracks you're on and moving from one to another to visualize your own path to self-love.
He narrates this non-fiction book. His voice is calming and utterly hypnotizing.
"As the narrator mapped out the visualization proces I found myself suddenly transported, traveling along with the narrator in a perfect visualization of my own path to self-love. It was all revealed to me in a moment."
I decided to start listening to audios while I work out on my elliptical machine each day. Part of my new year’s resolution was to exercise more. I get bored while on the machine and trying to balance a book while on the machine just wasn’t working out too well.
This audio caught my attention as I like motivational content and – well, this month is Valentine’s Day- so I decided that was yet another good reason to purchase a book on loving myself.
This is a great transformational audio that made me feel good about myself and started my day out in an excellent way.
The narration was very good and the nice thing for me is that I could listen to this audio during one workout. I am planning on listening to it again as it really starts my day out well.
I’ve since recommended this audio to several of my friends.
I did not read the print edition so I cannot say whether one is better than the other, but I really enjoyed the audio version! It was like an introspective meditation.
I liked how loving yourself is presented as a powerful transformative energy across multiple domains in life, from one's being outward to the benefit of others and in connection with the divine. I would say the book is spiritual and tries to show readers that once they hold and practice love for oneself, many benefits can be realized. Life can be better.
John Eastman didn't perform any particular character, but voices one viewpoint in the narration. He narrates the words of author, Tazkuvel.
Yes, it was very pleasant to listen to all in one sitting. It is the perfect length, just over a half an hour.
Yes! The reader is wonderful and it just adds on even more to the greatness of the printed version.
The tone that Eastman presents is wonderful. It brings the information more "to life" and is just more uplifting in general.
Overall, I absolutely loved this audible. The reader helped me feel better about myself and the content taught me to love myself. I have recommended this to all of my friends and family and I recommend it to EVERYONE!
