I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It's not so much about learning something new, as reminding you to follow your inner truth (you know, the one we all tend to run and hide from) Dr Phil in this audio book comes across a lot mellower than the rampant Dr Phil on TV.
A suitable motivational tool for those that have lost their path to fulfilling their goals, or simply those who need to begin with momentum.
I found this book very good straight forward easy to understand talk on what every person could use to organize and become a productive member of society while developing the personal relation skills to make relationships go smoother and life a little easier or at least deal better with lifes problems and trials. Very enjoyable and insightful monolog!
This book is full of awesome good sense, presented in a way that directs the reader's focus to taking one sensible step at a time to reach their goals. Re-minds us of common sense strategies that aren't so common. Excellent read!
Some truths so obvious that are under the radar screen but really make good sense. I wish I had understood these things years ago.
SURE, I have already listened to it three times. It is very enjoyable, utterly practical and every time you listen you absorb more.
Sam Sausage in chapter 4 at the minute 49 of the reading because it made the point VERY Clear
His animated tone of voice made me "LIVE" all his stories
Yes, I was speechless at times to discover simple facts that I had never learned. One of them is Life Law number 8 "We teach people how to treat us" WOW.
I have recommended the book to 6 of my friends and they all bought the Audio Book and even recommended it to other friends. No wonder it sold more than 2 Million copies. My circle of friends rather prefer Audio Books.
This book is a consise and no nonsense self help guide. There is a lot of wisdom contained within this audio book, Highly recommended
This guy knows his stuff. I go back and read it whenever I need a boost. He is pragmatic, grounded and has a way with words. I even went out and bought the book (paperback) which I hardly ever do.
If you feel things are not supposed to be the way they are in your life, don't hesitate to download. You might find some good advices. Straight to the point. Good exemples. His strategies take a lot of mindwork.
What a wonderful surprise it was to listen to Dr. Phil and his Life Strategies. I not only was looking deep into myself, but I also had some wonderful belly laughs with is life stories!
I have listened to this book while going to sleep since they day I bought it. You know its a good book whenever you learn something new each time you listen to it. He covers every aspect of our most reoccurring problems that most find so complex. this book brings out the most simple of solutions to every problem that I can think of and if you follow his advice you will have no choice but be successful & happy in life.
you can actually hear him get exited when he begins to cross certain bridges and the excitement is contagious....especially when he gives you the answer that always makes you think ( why didn't I think of this cause it is so simple
each problem has a simple solution but we overanalyze everything or are looking elsewhere instead of right in front of you.
"Step One If You're Serious About Progress"
I bought this book in 1999 when I had destroyed my life by not thinking things through before I did them. Enthusiasm and talent are unfortunately not enough to make it in our world and my naivete allowed sharks and charlatans to swindle me out of my hard earned cash and progress. Also I had an enormous emotional "engine" that needed feeding minute by minute.
This book changed that forever.
Dr Phil may have a lot of gumph said about him but I can 100% vouch for the sense, intelligence, value and practicality of what the man has to say. If you read this book; and do what he asks you to do seriously.... YOU WILL SUCCEED. It really IS that simple. This program is a first step... and will get you through the first 6 months as you divest yourself of crappy beliefs and airy fairy ideas sold to you by nutcases. After that (If you follow his life laws) you will amaze yourself and everyone you know. Deepak's 7 Spiritual Laws are unfortunately impractical... as are Stephen Covey's 7 habits. They sound good.... but you don't get measurable results. THIS GUY GIVES YOU RESULTS.
If you are serious about success, if you are fed up of waiting for the "universe" to provide you with money "in ever increasing amounts..." buy this book. The best ?10 I ever spent.
P.S I went from a bus pass to new Ferrari within 2 years.
"Useful, clear, and realistic."
McGraw speaks clearly and sensibly, setting out some useful ideas that can help you to get a grip on yourself and deal with problems in your life.
A good listen.
