"Less is more" - or, more specifically, the less you have to do, the more life you have to live. Efficiency expert Ari Meisel details his "Less Doing" philosophy, which will streamline your life, and make everything easier. In business and our personal lives, it often seems as if the only way to get more done is by putting in more time - more hours at the office, more days running errands. But what if there were a way that we could do less, and free up more time for the things and people we love? If this sounds like what you need, Ari Meisel - TEDx speaker, efficiency consultant, and achievement architect - has the program for you.

In Less Doing, More Living, Meisel explores the fundamental principles of his “Less Doing” philosophy, educating the listener on: Optimizing workflow with 21st-century apps and tools. Creating an “external brain” in the Cloud to do all of your “lower” thinking - like keeping track of appointments, meetings, and ideas. How to use technology to live a paper-free life. The three fundamentals of wellness - fitness, sleep, and nutrition - and technological approaches to improving these areas of life. And so much more! This audiobook will give listeners new tools and techniques for streamlining their workload, being more efficient in their day-to-day activities, and making everything in life easier.

If you want an audio version of this book and have the physical, perfect! But it's a bit tough as a standalone. It's a list of references and how he uses them. It would be very valuable to have it written out rather than just said aloud.

Great references and ideas, but paper may be best.

May help for "life hacks" but this could be condensed to a pretty short list or blog. I'm interested in these tools but not hearing about them in an audiobook.

Mostly a list of websites and tools

Although I knew about many of these suggestions already this was a quick read with great ideas. Nothing groundbreaking. Oh and be sure to listen to it on double speed or you might fall asleep.

Great quick tutorial on tech tools to get stuff done.

The performance comes off a little arrogant. Not sure if it's the way the book was written or not. Found out the names of some good websites and services.

Gave good info

It's nice to see people taking back their lives by using productivity hacks, and lifestyle changes to reverse The hectic nature of our realities today!

There's a lot of suggestions in this book, but, regardless of if you put into place these new tools and suggestions, the book gives amazing insight into what one version of simplified and purposeful living looks like.

This is not a fly-by-night book. It is well thought out, researched, and clear. Highly recommend!

Actionable, relevant, insightful.

What made the experience of listening to Less Doing, More Living the most enjoyable?

It was short and straightforward. It didn't rehash the same point over and over the way some of these books do.

Easy listen. Plus, I got several great tips.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

As a book yes, as an audiobook no.

Would you ever listen to anything by Ari Meisel again?

Perhaps.

Any additional comments?

The problem with this book in audio form is that it is mostly recommendations about apps and other productivity tools that require you to go investigate which is not practical to do when you are listening to an audio book. Better to buy the book or kindle book and you can highlight the ones you're interested in, and search. I was hoping there was some pdf to go along with this audiobook but no.
